Would it be possible to get hecl access to the magnetic compass reading when available?

(Since I am still waiting for my wind sensor... I have been thinking of ways to easily set the wind direction and speed while sailing. If I can access the magnetic reading, I could point the phone in the direction of movement (course) and zero the angle, then point in the direction of the apparent wind and press the button to get the difference. This would be easy and probably accurate enough at least as a backup.
The speed is a little more tricky, but can be judged from the effect on the water surface. Or use a portable wind meter to measure the apparent wind strength.)

Maybe because there is less devices with magnetic sensors ... or maybe Kruch needs some time because too busy ...
Just hope it's not the end of Trekbuddy story ... and our dreams also ! Confused

All my devices (those I use regularly) have magnetic sensors. The only exception is really my Boox e-reader, but that is understandable, since it is really made for reading...

Anyway, I really hope we can get access to the magnetic direction. Cool
