GNSS – Global Navigation Satellite System. A system that has been developed to determine the coordinates of land, water, and airborne objects and the position of low-orbit satellites (spacecraft) can be considered as such an entity.

Components of the Global Navigation Satellite System
Any navigation system consists of several indispensable elements:

  • Satellite (orbital) equipment. A special installation emitting special radio communication signals.
  • A ground control system. A control center where the current position of the navigation satellites is measured. This segment also sends data to the orbiting facility for correcting orbital calculations.
  • Consumer devices of navigation systems. Satellite receivers, which can act as stand-alone devices or integrated into other gadgets.

We are additionally using ground-based radio beacons to improve positioning accuracy and on-line radio information systems to provide users with the latest corrections for the same purpose.
