Published 1.31.0.3 (u3) update with WP7/8 screen resolution compatiblity option (Settings->Misc->WP8 WVGA): by default TB will start with WVGA canvas (default behaviour TB had before). To use 720p+ screen, check it off.
It will probably take many hours for the update to become available, appstore processing is rather slow these days...

I'll to try to port TB to Windows Phone Store app (WP 8.1), this should solve this compatiblity scaling problem, performance issues, and also make TB better ready for Windows 10.
There is one major drawback here - it is incredible, but currently WinRT API does not allow continuous location tracking in background Shocked . Hopefully Microsoft will fix this soon.

I started porting TB to Windows Phone 8.1 and it looks promising Smile - map scrolling is faster and smoother. The app starts much faster.

Next thing I am looking forward to is write access to SD allowing TB to use it for waypoints and tracks as usual Smile

Just published 1.31u4 with GC LongDesc and GC Hint fix. (As usual, it will take many hours for AppStore processing...)

Thanks for the bug report!

Hello,

I have an issue...
I would like to find a very simple CMS for Windows Phone that will display
The distance, the duration and the maximum speed reach.

I found this one : https://www.dropbox.com/s/2526k2u2h0zdv2e/CMS%20320x240%203Speed%20%2B%2010%20Run.zip
But it is not working on my Windows Phone. I read somewhere that the format should be .TAR But this .tar is instead of the .xml document or for all the folder ?

Thank you in advance, I am lost Sad

CMS smaller than screen size should work Smile

@el_matelot Let me check how CMS is supported in WP version, it is a long time since I tested it and I forgot details.

I'm finishing upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile, map moving will be much faster and smooth compared to WP 8.1 version (TB W10M version uses Win2D library which is a DirectX wrapper).

I recently upgraded to Win 10 Mobile and TB doesn't see the "cr.tar" from my tared atlases on SD. So I'm not able to load any maps or atlases.
Is there a workaround? – never had any TB related issues with WP 8.1!

Greetings, haddock

I will check it.

WP port bothers me. Current version has poor performance and complicated usability. I made good progress with changing TB for WP from 8.0 Silverlight type application to 10 UWP, which opens new possibilities for TB, especially full SD access and much better performance. Then MS announced that roughly only half of existing Lumias will receive W10 Mobile update. I know users can install W10M via Insider program, I am running it on Lumia 1320, but it is not my primary phone. I am not sure that every TB user with WP would be willing to become Insider in order to run improved TB Smile

Anyway, I again changed app type from 10 UWP to 8.1 Runtime, looks similar to 10 UWP except for problematic GPS tracking in background, I am testing it these days, will see.

I restored WP 8.1 on my Lumia 630 because of long start times of apps and faster battery drain. Maybe 512 MB of RAM aren't really sufficient for WM 10.

Anyway, the demand for TB on WM 10 isn't that high, is it? Rolling Eyes Wink

Greets, haddock

The issue really seems like problem in W10M compatibility.

Release notes for upcoming 10586.242 build includes "Improvements to general application compatibility" (http://allaboutwindowsphone.com/flow/item/21406_Production_Windows_10_Mobile_n.php).

I have TB version for W10M in "ready-for-testing" state,
but app store certification test failed with "app does not do what it advertises" Smile, so it is just available to me for sideloading it on Lumia 1320 which I use for testing. If there is demand, I can again put some effort to fight with app store.

kruch, so now it's time to tell us more about those secret functions hidden inside TB. Very funny! Laughing Cool
Thanks anyway for your effort!

Greetings, haddock

Hi there. Long time no post, since TB has been working flawlessly for me.

Sadly, after updating to WP10 mobile, I'm getting the same as Haddock. TB doesn't see atlas.tar or any map.tar or map.tmi files.

Any advice would be appreciated.
