Does B2710 support A-GPS? Maybe this is the problem and assisted GPS can be turned off...

A-gps can be turned-off, phone docs page 58:
In Menu mode, select Settings → Phone → GPS → GPS+
→ Auto download → On or .. Off.
Probably a-gps setting can't be controlled by apps.

Thanks for answers,

Ranger, yes the phone manual explain how to disconnect A-GPS, but my B2710 don't have this setting. Crying or Very sad (maybe special opérator series)

Kruch, i didn't see that setting A-GPS of Trekbuddy was actived, so now it's off. I hope it will be enough ! (i'm not sure) Confused

Best regards

Result of my contacts with operator support and phone support ...

Nothing possible from Samsung support because i get this phone from SFR operator (france) with no A-GPS settings inside (special settings)... Crying or Very sad

So it's easy for operator to sell their own GPS application with the "good settings"... I think it's not normal ! Evil or Very Mad

Solution i've choosen : changing my package for something more adapted and possibility to use A-GPS function for less price !

Operators and phone constructors are agree with one thing ... business is business ... Wink

More infos ...

All Samsung B2710 have not all the same GPS settings. Confused
Sometimes (like mine) the setting GPS + (lock or unlock internet access for GPS data) is not present ... Crying or Very sad
Also, the Trekbuddy setting A-GPS have no effect to forbid internet access for the B2710. Crying or Very sad
The only way to stop the internet connection is to change phone settings for using 3G, Edge .., but it's not good for many others function of the phone !
Kruch, do you think you can change something in Trekbuddy settings for this problem or it's not possible ?

Other solution when phone call is not necessary ...
Put the b2710 in offline mode, so no connection internet, but no A-GPS also !

OK,

I've found the answer ... not simple ...There is a hide setting in the B2710 for changing the A-GPS function !

Enter *#4097*4097#
/User Setting/
/Supl Setting/
/Use AGPS or NOT/
/ON/ or /OFF/ Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Please, Kruch, do you think it can be used for implement A-GPS Trekbuddy settings ? Smile

I thought that AGPS just gets approximate location from GPS tower to find satelites faster. Boy was I wrong Embarassed

Now that I checked service menu my B2710 has GPS+ selected (not AGPS)

Thanks boowoo for the code.
