Changelog
    - fixed map position errors when prescale is used
    - Pause shows pause time, and closes current segment in GPX (trkseg)
    - added map scrolling fps control (Settings->Misc->Map scroll ctrl); makes scrolling smoother/faster on some platforms (mostly lowend; on by default for S40)
    - Android: heart rate monitor logging on phones with ANT+ (via Extras/Plugins menu); uses Garmin GPX extension and resulting log is, for example, strava.com compatible. Tested with Xperia Mini and Garmin HRM1G. Still needs some polishing of plugin status etc

It is necessary to add 4 new texts to language.res file.

The spanish localization file included in TrekBuddy contains more bugs. It is not updated to the last version.

Another way to improve scrolling speed is to disable OSD tranparency (set it to 16 in Settings-> Display)

Hello Kruch,
OK, I am registered now, and i understand very well you are "stripped".

I told you that i don't know how to create the res file , so you can :
- create yourself the french res file like the last time if you are OK (i can translate each version in text format every time and post it)
- give me a tuto for how to create res file and how to put it in localisation WIKI.

For 1.2.3 version i don't find the line code number for <Read buffer size>
french translation <Taille de la mémoire tampon>
Can you add it ?
Thanks a lot

@boowoo

Attached language.res to topic.
Read buffer size is experimental and probably will be removed (makes no noticeable differences)

Hi kruch,

Thank you for your great app. I used it a lot and it has never let me down (even in a huge sandstorm in the middle of nowhere).

I want to know if it is possible to add a custom geoid/ellipsoid (i.e Popular Visualisation Sphere, a=6378137, 1/f=0.) in a similar way one can add a custom datum. If it's not, maybee for a future version. Smile

Here is a list of predefined ellipsoids in TB, if it is just one or two, will be easier if I just add them to the list. Customizable list like for datums seems like an overkill to me Smile

Code:
        new Ellipsoid("Airy 1830", 6377563.396, 299.3249646),
        new Ellipsoid("Modified Airy", 6377340.189, 299.3249646),
        new Ellipsoid("Australian National", 6378160, 298.25),
        new Ellipsoid("Bessel 1841 (Namibia)", 6377483.865, 299.1528128),
        new Ellipsoid("Bessel 1841", 6377397.155, 299.1528153513206),
        new Ellipsoid("Clarke 1866", 6378206.4, 294.9786982),
        new Ellipsoid("Clarke 1880", 6378249.145, 293.465),
        new Ellipsoid("Clarke 1880 IGN", 6378249.2, 293.466021),
        new Ellipsoid("Everest (1830)", 6377276.345, 300.8017),
        new Ellipsoid("Everest (Sarawak)", 6377298.556, 300.8017),
        new Ellipsoid("Everest (1956)", 6377301.243, 300.8017),
        new Ellipsoid("Everest (1969)", 6377295.664, 300.8017),

        new Ellipsoid("Everest (Pakistan)", 6377309.613, 300.8017),
        new Ellipsoid("Fischer 1960", 6378155, 298.3),
        new Ellipsoid("Helmert 1906", 6378200, 298.3),

OK so let's add

Code:
new Ellipsoid("Popular Visualisation Sphere", 6378137, 0)

to your next version. This Ellipsoid is used by almost all web map provider.

Sure it's not going to overkill you Very Happy. I would have writen it for you if trekbuddy was developped in Python.

Thanks

cool.

I have a question about calibration file:
do you know the exact meaning of the line starting with datum name
Quote:
WGS 84, WGS84, 0.000, 0.000, WGS 84

I'm working on a tool to calibrate maps and I need some explanations.

thanks

It is enough to set map datum (first position) in line, next are for datum shifts, mostly not changed in gps usage.
And one more, TB uses geodetic system transformations (kind of Mercator projection implemented).

Indeed, TB uses only the first token ie. datum name.

fyi, Ozi helps says:

"Datum settings

WGS 84,, 0.0000, 0.0000,WGS 84 - Note - for normal maps only the datum in the first field is used the rest of the parameters are for datum shifts and there is normally no need for these to be modified by the user. "

Yep, to be a little bit more precise - if you set ie WGS84/Mercator for TB map, calculations in app will use ellipsoidal model, not the spherical. It is what you expect ?
