Since the sailing season is over, I thought it would be fun to revamp my sailing CMS over the winter.

My main goals are:
- do tacking calculations (needs wind direction)
- updated layout for S3 and Nexus 7 screen sizes

Status:

- Input wind direction by hand (button 2 and through settings )
- Calculates alternative tacking direction (symmetric around ground wind dir)
- Calculates total tacking distance to target
- Calculates total tacking time to target
- Calculates tacking ETA to target

Future:
- When NMEA sensor data can be read and used, the fun really starts
- Apparent wind (rel to boat), true wind (rel to course), ground wind
- Full polar plot calculations
- Best tacking course suggestion
- All sensor data display (depth, speed through water, ...)
- etc...

Edit: Update 2016-01-03
Since the latest TrekBuddy version now works well on my Boox T68 E-Ink reader, I thought I would adapt it to this screen size (1080x1440). Perfect in direct sunlight.

Edit: Update 2016-01-17
Nexus 7 screen size added (Auto portrait or landscape)

Sorry, not yet. Got a bit side-tracked...

Anyway, I will first do S3 (720 x 1280) and N7 (1200 x 1920) sizes.

I also ordered a wind sensor so I can get the real wind direction. First want to see how that works when it arrives (hopefully later this month).

Winter... No sailing, so playing around with my CMS for a screen size of 1080x1440 (1080x1360 effective).

Really hope some of my wishes on the Wishlist will come true soon.

Graphic representation of the anchor alarm is possible with a little effort.
