When having OSD Scale on, and settings are for nautical the OSD Scale states the distances in feet. Feet isn't really a nautical measurement, is it? Smile I suggest the OSD Scale when in nautical mode should be cables (1/10th of a nautical mile) or plain nautical miles.

Also, we have a large userbase over here sailracing, we notice that the timestamps in GPX-logs aren't that accurate. The tracks can be as much as 20 seconds off, which is a bummer if you'd want to sail the race again like as in;

http://www.h-vene.net/h-vene/gpsar2/list_events.php

Could it be that writing the trkseg can take seconds on one device, and another writes it instanteniously? Or does some Nokia-phones use the internal clock instead of GPS-time when writing the track? Could the GSM-time interfer with the GPS-time in some way if the phone is set to use automatic operator time?

Hello kruch...

a long time .. but back on trekbuddy.
I know it's not the place to discuss about this BUT:

do you plan to get the accelerator data from somes phone witch run this type of detector and save on a file in // of the nmea data ???????????

actually the explosion of specialyze recorder using accellarator give more precise data for sport analysis.

- firstly : is it possible from java to get the accelerator data
- secondly : a way to introduice in trekbuddy ?

Hello,
I have a samsung wave and it works perfect, except one little thing, is that just start the gps signal or when I lose, I put in the coordinates of all zeros and then it goes on the site. Comes to be that when I have no signal (because I lose or because I still have not found). Not if it's because the phone until it finds itself tells you that this signal in these coordinates, or because there is some configuration that I have not seen so I will not place until I have to find the signal. This track spoils me more than anything if I lose the signal or because it puts me right in the beginning in Ecuador, and already discovered that since my house is about 4000km xD. Then on the PC and delete those items already but if you have any other solution ..

Thanks in advance

I installed TrekBuddy on my BB BOLD (9000).
I download the OziExplorer on my PC to prepare a small .map file of the area I'm about to Trek in.
When I I try to load the .map file to the up I get the error message:

[6] null: InvalidMapException [null]:
Tileset file not found: file:///store/maps/filename.set

How do I create the missing .set file with OziExplorer?

Is there a better program than OziExplorer to prepare my own map?

Thanks, Ran

Map should be tiled, just use ie TBCutter or TBMapper for this task.
Described in TB wiki:

Dear all,

I looked now a long time to all the forum to find an answer for my problem, but no success.
So, if anybody can help, please.
My problem is a long list of waypoints in the gpx file on my s8000jet. I can sort the waypoints but I can not scroll through the list. Everytime I am touching the screen on the right side, where the scroll bar is showing, tb immediatly opens the waypoint info and DOES NOT scroll.

What I am doing wrong?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,
Bert

You could try to enforce fullscreen on LG by using extra attributes in JAD, see http://wiki.trekbuddy.net/index.php/Installation#LG_Renoir

Hey kruch,

Just wondering if there is going to be a new version and what is on the horizon for updates or things you have set for it.

By the the end of this week. It is just about several annoyances being fixed.

I've started experimenting with https://www.pivotaltracker.com/projects/109352 for project tracking. I'm slowly populating the list of features&bugs (see Icebox) with what I find in my notes, wishlist etc.

What is the status on HECL variables for the new version? Old ones fixed? Any new ones? What about HECL functions? More math functions?

Your efforts are much appreciated.
