Latest version of sailing CMS
v6 for Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300)
* portrait 720x1230
* landscape 1280x670
* improved anchor alarm distance calculation (for high latitudes)
* scaled from v5, not perfect but usable
v5.1 for Samsung Spica (GT-I5700)
* portrait 320x455
* landscape 480x295
* (forced Nautical units)
* anchor alarm (thanks to atricault) 320x455
v5
* added 3rd screen: (metric) anchor alarm supplied by atricault (thanks!)
v4
* 240x320
* hecl
* Start timer with (Morse code) sound on 5, 4, 1, 0 minutes
* Unique file names
* 2 screens
* units-independent (nautical, metric, etc.)

Nice app!
Been looking the whole day for a program like this and when I finlay find one im too stupid to get it running... 
I bought my self a HTC Magic with Android 1.5 yesterday and want to use the phone as a backup GPS when im flying. This program has all that I need but I cant get it to work... Ive installed TB 0.95.9 and put your app into the E:\Trekbuddy\ui-profiles but how do I get it running?

Not sure about the HTC Magic, but on my phone the CMS screen is accessed by pressing the # key twice (when TrekBuddy is running).

There is one significant problem in the start clock, it takes the time signal from the GPS which means in case the signal is lost (or weak) the countdown is halted.
The countdown-timing should and must be taken from the cell phones internal clock, otherwise it is complitely unreliable in actual start-situation (been there done that...don't ask). One could use the GPS-time (during good reception) as a time reference (e.g. when operating as a RC) but when the start countdown is started, the countdown should be independent of the GPS-reception.

I agree with your logic, and would like to do it like that, but I don't know if it is possible...
If I look at the HECL page:

it says that there are only 4 event handlers: "onTrackingStart", "onTrackingStop", "onLocationUpdated", "onKeyPress".
Currently I use "onKeyPress" to start the timer and then "onLocationUpdated" is used to update it and play the sounds when needed. I can use the internal clock as the time source, but it is still only updated on the screen when the location is updated.
Being only a HECL beginner, I am not sure if it is possible to run the timer (and sounds) in the background. Perhaps some of the gurus can shed some light...

hi
looks like wpt-eta makes mistakes on my phone (5310).
At first the arriving time looks reasonable, but in 2-3 minutes it changes into strange values (eg 1 hour before) or it freeze and don't change even a second.
How is it computed?

Lately, I have been seeing the same thing...
Unfortunately "wpt-eta" is an internal variable of Trekbuddy, so I cannot do anything about it.

i don't know on which data wpt-eta is based on now.
Some time ago (year+) it was calulated based on actual speed, what makes the problem, when you'd stop to take the readigns, wpt-eta was rapidly growing. I have no idea if its the same nowdays, but maybe wpt-eta could be calculated in hcl, using the mean true target speed (speed in target diretion). This (especially on longer trips) could be the closest to the truth i guess.

Thank you very much. I've just registered to get this CMS. It's the one I was looking for. Of course I think it would be a good idea to have a "MOB: Man Over Board" funtion althougth I hope none of us would have to use never.
Now I have to discover how to install it.
