Anyone with S60 3rd F2 or S60 5th is using tar-ed maps?

I just read FP2 and higer version should have fileconnection API performance improved, so I could try to detect S60 version in TB and use either TbService or direct access for tar-ed maps, which should be a lot faster Twisted Evil

Verified on E75. Tar maps are faaaast on new S60 (3rd FP2 and 5th) and there is not need to use TrekBuddyService Very Happy

Also backlight control should work fine without native application.

I was able to test tar-ed maps on E75 in Nokia labs, but could not test backlight (the phone did not dim at all). Is there anyone with such device? If backlight will not work ok this time, I have yet another idea.

Here is a build (it was updated a few minutes ago, so it is not the same as yesterday):

Thanks

Hmm.. maybe 5800 is sensitive to low (0-1) backlight level. Int this version, "off" means reasonable level (25), but dimming should work as set up at device options:

10% is low enough for the 5800 i can get 10 hours using tb with backlight on 100% the same performance as on the n95
