Here's the tared altas map.

Regard distances, a suggestions is that distance will not keep adding if speed does not meet threshold of let's say 0.5km/h? Also would be cool if you could add a "linear distance from waypoint" feature, so could see the linear distance and actual distance traveled on the CMS Very Happy

I think wpt azimuth and distance in CMS should be cleared to '?' when select 'stop' from wpt menu. Now they're displayed until new wpt is set or quit tb.

Regarding distance, do you all think it's better to have it formatted as x.xxx km (or M) no matter of the value? I thought that for short distances (15 km) metres would be better, but - you rule here Wink

meters in nautical view makes no sense. For short distances x.xxx M or meters in terrestric mode is fine, for long distances > 15 km (or M) xx.x M or km is ok.

Yellow color in day mode HPS!!! It's hard to read anything if bgcolor is white. Could it be changed to negative color like position?

the new version is really fast, especially for loading maps. amazing.

gpx raw is nice as well, but it produces huge files...but it's really extremely accurate!

but the smart gpx tracklog seems to have changed since last version and produces much less accurate files now. am i right with this? before, smart gpx was accurate enough to be displayed it google earth, but now, this is not fun anymore, because it's too inaccurate. so, i think, you need to change something there...

something else: could you add a "time in motion" to CMS and an average speed calculated with "time in motion"?

moreover, i think it's a good idea to have distance only added if speed is over 0.5km/h.

There is a little problem with compass big arrow in HPS day mode, difference in colours is too small in sunlight.

May be... I changed units I use internally - and this may have broken the GPX filter; I'll check it.

Know issues in inital post updated.

An additional view on speed, distance, time.

So let's say if speed is below threshold (eg. 0.5km/h), its good to have another field called "Idle Time", which is time stationary or not moving. So "Idle Time" + "Moving Time" would give "Trip Time". From there, others fields could be derived: "Trip Average", Speed (Total distance/trip time), "Moving Average Speed", which is the total distance over the moving trip time, which would give a more accurate "average speed".
