Twice I went into situation, that after several minutes long loss of connection phone - GPS (due to long distance) the connection could not been restored. Red/blue/orange/green point of connection state disappeared. Stop / start of GPS track did not help, even restart of TB. Pause/continue state indication went off. The phone had to be switched off/on. Is there any other possibility to restart the GPS connection?
Sony Ericsson W910i, Qstarz BT‐Q818X (MTK II chip).

Hi, I have the same problem with quite often loss a connection between phone (Nokia E66) and bluetooth GPS device. It happens even if the distance between them is not greater than 1 meter. Sometimes restart of GPS helps, but sometimes also TB, or even the phone, has to be restarted. The problem is that in such a case you loose all automatically recorded data - distance travelled, time spent, total up/down hill and also the track itself (I am not using saving tracklog). This is really bad. So I have a suggestion for improvement - at least to be able to store the current data and after restart of TB to restore them and continue in previous track. That would really help. I am using TB for navigation during mountain hiking so it could happen my life will depend on proper functionality of TB See a picture where TB was nearly at 3000m

There is gonna be another photo with 4000m this year However, I switched from SonyEricsson to Symbian Nokia E66 where TB is much less reliable and have to be restarted many times, which is annoying. Nevertheless, I always have a paper map with me, and this is a working guide
