In SortByPosition, SortByName and SortByDistance, is it possible to add Ascending (A..Z) o Descending (Z..A) mode?

It can be very useful to select the last element of a big GPX file, for RouteBack option.... (SortByPosition---> Descending (Z...A)---> Select first element ---> RouteAlong).

It might be added like option in Settings, Ascending, Descending or Ask.

tar-ed maps on Symbian phones are accessed via TrekBuddyService (see Tools), so TB needs socket permission granted

Thanks, i wrote some information about this in the wiki, already. Wink
My colleague has to test it.

Another problem i reportet to the AtlasCreator treat:
I have a N6234 (s40) w. 0.9.82b5
I tried to make an GoogleEarth Atlas from the whole World on zoom level 4 and 5.
The tile size is 256x256 and the pictures are 24Bit - filesize is max.25KB.
(GoogleMaps tiles are 8Bit and up to 50KB, no problems here.)

TrekBuddy can only show 3 tiles at the same time.
Code:
[7] null: InvalidMapException
[null]: Failed to load tile: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

thnx. opl79

This is not a bug of TrekBuddy 0.9.82 Beta 5, this is a memory limitation of your phone.

Try to create the maps with 256 colors (8 bits).

You must learn to know the limits of your phone. Wink

It's the truth. On Nokia 6234 it's good to use tiles with size 300x400px.

I use atlas made by GOOGLEAK (300x400px, 8bit) on N6233 without problems.

@indypan

Are you able to use any previously released version? Which one and what variant (generic, std, ...)?

Tracks are available in navigation menu since 0.9.82beta... which you cannot unfortunately install.

@x2fer

I could add asc/desc sorting, but I must point out that sorting only changes a "view" on a set of waypoints; TB uses gpx original order for route navigation, no matter what the sorting is, and RouteAlong/Back are not (will not - there is a bug now) be available for wpts sorted by name or distance.

For RouteBack, it is necessary to indicate the waypoint where it must begin the route. By defect TrekBuddy takes the first point of the list, not the last one. Is this the bug?.

No, this is not the bug.
Sometimes you would to select not last point for backtracking.
But indeed, possibility to jump to the end of list using joy up can be nice feature.

Maybe long press of JOY RIGHT could TB interpret as "jump to the end".

I may have connection problems for the next few days starting from the midnight, so I have uploaded http://www.trekbuddy.net/beta/0982b6-generic.zip with 1) fixed actions menu for wpts list (no RouteXXX cmds for non-default sorting) 2) wpts should consume less memory (depends on how verbose gpx is)

Hi Kruch,

I installed 0.9.81 generic package in my Moto A1200 which ran perfectly.

I download the newest beta6 and try to install directly but failed, I also tried to remove the old version 0.9.81 completely before installing new version, also failed, both way got the same error message "package error, install fail". That's too pity for me.... Crying or Very sad

Slovak Localization for 0.9.82 Beta 5:
http://wiki.trekbuddy.net/images/3/38/Language_0982_SK.res
Just download the RES file, copy it to resources folder of TrekBuddy Data Dir and rename it to "language.res".
Enjoy!

Unfortunately, still can't load the big .gpx file I've sent you by mail Sad
Do you think you can optimize it even further ? Rolling Eyes
Or do you know some tweak inside jbed to allow it to provide more memory to TB ?

- added support for "australian" geocaching GPX extension
- unified command types (Close/Cancel, Open/Select)
- signed with renewed certificate
- classes using mmapi loaded on demand
- ...

I'll try to find a workaround for large gpx in the future.
I do not now how to modify jbed's heap, though I saw version with 8 MB heap at xda-developers forum.
