Did you tried to turn on "receive" option for "Location SMS" settings ?
For example, in k750i (not emu) you will have an error - not able to turn on position sharing: java.io.IOException; Port 16007 already in use.
So probably this is not JP8 problem only.
Next, error is visible with every app start.
For now, the only solution I know is to turn this option off. Checked with b4.

Yes, I tried, both on K550i and K750i, and never saw this error.
Don't you have multiple TB versions installed? Only one should have location SMS reception enabled...

Yes, I have 2 versions - TB 1.0 PL with receive option off and b4 with option off too. After installation of b4 I couldn't change this setting in both, doesn't matter which one I try. What you suggests ?

EDIT
Case is more complicated.
After few attempts, I can set receive option in TB 1.0 PL, but still not in b4.
Seems that case comes from previous installations (b4 was installed as upgrade now).

After loading a waypoints file (371 wpt), and sorting it for distance, on having gone out of the waypoints menu, TB remains hung during a time.

This is the process that I realize.

    - Run TrekBuddy 0.9.82 B4, and load default Atlas. --> OK
    - Key "1", Waypoints, load wpt file. ShowAll. --> OK
    - Key "1" for long time, show list of waypoints loaded. SortByDistance --> OK
    - Back, Back, Close. --> OK
    - Key "1" for long time ---> Fault, no keys or joystick works during a time. Past this time, the menu of the touched key appears.

When TrekBuddy is sorting the waypoints, it might show a text on screen... "working" or "sorting".

I can confirm x2fer case with near 100 wpts. Default sorting type in settings should be saved first, doesn't work for current TB run (OK only).
@x2fer
Do you have problems in b4 with receive SMS setting ?
I'm trying to know if it depends on operator or not.

I think that I´m not having problems... Shocked ... but when change "Location SMS receive" from unchecked to checked, and save it, sometimes the phone shows this message "Allow to this application Automatic start? Yes or Not" (or similar, in spanish) before to TB shows "Configuration uploaded".

In TB Permission, I have, Automatic Star --> Ask once

Yesterday, with B3, I saw " java.io.IOException; Port 16007 already in use" two times, but I am not capable to reproduce it.

OK I can reproduce the SMS-related IOException now (with 2 TBs installed), and also NullPointerException when closing Settings (reported by jiri.tusla) Smile

I discovered some new bugs...but i think it is only a missing translation in the german language pack.

1. Navigation-menu:
The second "button" is labeled 2106. no other text

2 After opening a a waypoint-package and going to options the last 3 buttons are labeled 2015, 2016 and 2017

This is not a bug... you are using language.res for 0.9.81 version. Remove language.res

Great work,

Is this an option item? Some program like Garmin Mapsource using GMT timestamps rather than localtime.

It will be perfect if add {slope} item.

Hi kruch,

I've noticed that in the new version when displaying the waypoints comments, you are removing all the carriage returns.

So if my comment was something like this :

First line
Second line
Third line

it is displayed like this :

First line Second line Third line

could you please go back to the previous behavior and take CRLF into account when displaying the comment tag ?

Cheers,
Nibbler.

Musím říct že žádná beta neměří rychlost a zobrazuje -1 satelitů. Musel jsem se vrátit k ostré verzi.

Hi kruch,
thanks for {pace} tag. It's seems that it works fine. Will be/is there even average and auto-average one?

Hi

I'm not sure, whether this is the same problem Celda described on Nov 30th in this thread, but in 0.9.81 the map showed the Geocache Names (when using GPX-Files from geocaching.com) in the map view (or at least one could choose to show them using "*" and "0").
This does not work any more in 0.9.82 beta4.

I've been using Trekbuddy for half a year now and it keeps improving at an amazing rate! Specially the handling of geocaching GPX-Files in 0.9.81 made this tool by far the best for my uses. The new sorting features where the last point on my wishlist Smile Thanks a lot for that!

Cheers,
Tobi-Wan
