Can anyone send me a trekbuddy map generated with mapexplore where the deviation makes it unusable?

Not from mapexplore, but nautical map sample.
European 1950 datum is needed to use this map, so:
Code:

Datum-12: Europe1950{International 1924,-87,-98,-121}=map:European 1950

Gabor, do you think, that it will be possible to modify MapExplorer to use another map source?
To be specific: mapy.atlas.cz ...

Or, anyone, do you know some source for Czech Republic with... vrstevnice... contour lines - lines that shows altitude on map...

Lakva,

mapy.atlas.cz map has same tile structure as google maps, so it is possible to alter the gmapexplore to use this. however, I checked your map and google maps seems to be more detailed for me.

Right, for You! Very Happy
Where are You from? It's usual, that national maps are much more detailed for national area. Try to look area of Czech Republic on mapy.atlas.cz Smile
GM is very good world-wide service, but their maps for europe aren't enough detailed for me. There are very detail and precize maps on atlas.cz even with contour lines and forest roads, what aren't seen from air or satelite, but it ends on czech borders. And foreign area contains main roads only.
But I usually move inside republic only, so for me it's best...
Will You modify MapExplorer for me, please?

First of all. GM can be used in TB 095, because Mercator is implemented now. The way is to include projection info in calibration file (means .map). But best think I see at this point is using Mercator nautical maps.

To have atlas.cz maps working correctly, info about used map datum and projection is needed. So if you can find such info, there is a chance.
Other way is checking a map calibration using a lot of tracks ... and accept some possible errors if the map is different projected ...

mapexplore should be updated to generate .map file that has the following line at the very beginning:

Code:

Map Projection,Mercator

This is needed for maps made out of Google Maps in order to see correct position.

Also (I'm not sure if it has already been fixed), on northern hemisphere maps, latitude grows towards top margin, but Y in calibration grows in top->bottom direction.

Finally it works!

Thanks

Zdravim chtel bych do mapexploeru pridat funkci na vyber typu mapy jestli normalni nebo ortho. Prepinac lze prihrat snadno staci do map.html do function load pridat radek :
map.addControl(new GMapTypeControl(),
new GControlPosition(G_ANCHOR_BOTTOM_RIGHT, new GSize(10, -20)));

Akorat nevim jak to udelat aby se i vysledna mapa ulozila podle toho prepinace treba jako ortho?

In english:
"Hello, I would like to add function to choose a map type (default or ortho) into MapExplorer. Adding of switch is easy - just add a line
Code:
map.addControl(new GMapTypeControl(),
               new GControlPosition(G_ANCHOR_BOTTOM_RIGHT, new GSize(10, -20)));
into the function load in map.html
I just don't know how to make a final map to save by this switch (as ortho for example)."

rstute you'll only be able to view the map in mapexplore as hybrid. The saved map, regardless of the view you choose using the controls on gmaps, will always be of the map type

hi all,

I wonder if it is possible to modify mapexplore tool inorder to use microsoft virtual earth maps instead od googlemaps. because googlemaps has detailed street maps of only 3 cities in turkey while microsoft has all the cities.
