Hello,

Does TrekBuddy allow for continuous waypoint creation - creating a large "track" - on the phone? I made an atlas using Googleak, got it on the phone, but when I went running the track that was created after clicking Start and selecting to Record Current was just a waypoint, I guess. In addition, even though my location was updated it never gave me speed or distance information.

I'm trying to get this working on LG's KM900, which seems to be the worst smartphone ever made, and my nerves are a little raw. Apologies if I come off as grumpy.

Thank you kindly in advance.

Edit: On the phone a light blue track (route) is provided, but that doesn't actually seem to save anywhere.

Welcome to Trekbuddy!

Start > Settings > Location > Tracklog

Set to Ask or Always

Ask: When you select Start, TB will ask if you want to create a tracklog.
Always: A tracklog will be always be created.

The tracklog will appear in your Trekbuddy/tracks-gpx or Trekbuddy/tracks-nmea folder, depending on which format you've selected.

Make sure to stop tracking or quit TB from the Exit command or the tracklog won't be closed properly.

(As you've found, Record Current just records your current location).

Thanks! Smile I am by now a successful, if not quite yet experienced, user of TrekBuddy and very happy with the program. The route tracking works splendidly, as did the exporting and playing around with GPX data in the GPS Track Analyse program.

Thanks again, and thanks for TrekBuddy!
