Hi bogi,

nice to hear that there are some new useful functions for you.
Regarding your missing tiles problem I have a better solution for you:

The attached modified custom map definition contains for the two "sparse layers" a new parameter:

Code:
<ignoreErrors>true</ignoreErrors>
<backgroundColor>#00000000</backgroundColor>

In case of an error an empty map tile will be generated using the backgroundColor - which is in this case a fully transparent tile because of the last two 00 which sets the alpha channel to 0 (ff = opaque).

Both parameters are new to preview 1.03

There were some definitions missing in the OSM map pack.

Looks like this is a good test for the new mappack concept. Just copy the attached file into the mapsources directory - this should be it...

EDIT: nevermind, i should have RTFM, i found the instructions about twonav rmap atlas in the readme file inside the mobac preview zip.
I leave the question anyway in case someone else encountered the problem, in this case this is how to do it:
"The easiest way to create a correct atlas content is: first select the appropriate grid zoom (combobox next to the zoom slider), then pick zoom levels from the selected grid zoom up to the zoom level of the desired most detailed level, and finally add a selection to the Atlas content by clicking on the "Add selection" button."

nice update, i especially appreciate the TWONAV rmap atlas setting.

When i try to create a twonav rmap atlas with more than one zoom level i get the following error:

"atlas format restriction violated
All maps in one layer have to cover the same area!
Use grid zoom on the lowest zoom level to get an acceptable result"

Hi mobrob, I just tried the new TOPOMAPPER.com maps. I switched to zoom 13. The download provided an enlarged map of Zoom 12 but not the much better quality of zoom 13!

I tried it with Mobile Atlas Creator 1.9 preview 1.04

I don't know what you mean. Topomapper.com and the MOBAC view of zoom 13 are identical (in the region I checked it).

@pidgey: If you don't want to split the selected region into several maps increase the maximum map size (settings dialog).

I will definiene an Custom Layer with Google URL, MOBAC give an Error!

MOBAC internal Map springs "Google Hybrid/Terrain" go very good!
Google URL go very well to Tintenbrot but not MOBAC!
Other Custom Maps go very well with MOBAC 1.9.2!

Here is the URL where goes to Tintenbrot (define for MOBAC!!!)
http://mt1.google.com/vt/lyrs=m@138&hl=de&x={$x}&y={$y}&z={$z}&s=Galileo&w=256&h=256&gl=de&hl=de.png

Can i help to go this URL in MOBAC as Custom?

Don't forget that you are in XML document. Therefore you have to encode the & (ampersand) char to &

BTW: Why do you try to build the url yourself - just use the layer already integrated into MOBAC. Since v1.9 preview 2 you can combine custom layers with any standard layer available in MOBAC. See Readme for details - the map name should be "Google Earth Maps Overlay".

Thank you after an other one try with amp; if it runs now very well.
With the preceding amp; probably still other mistakes in the URL.

OK I can access with "Google Earth Maps Overlay" the Tilestore, however, only on loaded maps!

To me this is not surely about expiry first to look whether to provide maps in the Tilestore available and then create maps.

I would like to be able to fill in the also Custom Layers the Tilestore, therefore, the copy of the URL.
If MOBAC became access independently the standard URL about the Layer to me the copy saved remain!

Hi "guest" - whoever you are.

I am sorry, but I don't understand a word of what you have written.

The tile store is map based - not URL based like in a web browser.

Please downloaded the latest preview and read the whole section about custom maps in the readme. Then you will understand how to use the standard maps layer of Google Hybrid together with a custom map.

Hi,

it seems calibration is not good in the "cache.conf file".
The line containing center, zoom level and map type is missing.

I use MgMaps as GPS tool and maps from MOBAC 1.9 are not drawn on screen.

Thanks again for this TOOL (MOBAC 1.8 Surprised)
