kruch says...
Quote:
When a wpt is reached (if distance is less than value in Wpt Proximity config setting, in meters), backlight is flashed, and a sound is played - you have to create sounds subfolder in the datadir and put a file in AMR form named wpt.amr there. Sample attached. If the file is not found, some default beep is played instead.

I have been trying with this file.... E://trekbuddy/sounds/wpt.amr ... and ... it is necessary that the volume of the loudspeaker is selected to the maximum value to be able to hear it Confused .

Is it a bug?

The volume of waypoint sound, can it be the same that other sounds?, without depending on the adjustments of the phone.

Just a loose observation - after converting to wav using mobileAMRconverter and loading the wav into a sound editing application I found, that this sound isn't at the max volume at all. One can boost the volume for about 3dB (150%) without clipping, but I haven't tested the louder sound with my mobile yet. So I dunno if this could be the cause... Rolling Eyes

I have increased the volume of the file .WAV, but the problem persists.

In the K750i, the volume can be modified while TB is executed, with the buttons of the right side.

Tested in 0.9.63 versión, and the problem persists.

The volume can be only modifying, when the file is being reproduced.

I have tried setting volume level programatically to max (100) before the sound is played, but it appears that it is the default, since I noticed no change on K750i...
