Hi all,

I am installed TrekBuddy succesfully, and it works fine with an external bluetooth GPS device.

I have problems with TrekBuddy accessing any memory on the phone, internal and the memory card. Each time a request is made to save or read I get and error

Code:
[1]:java.lang.SecurityException: Access denied

I'm guessing its the Java software preventing the program from accessing the phone and causing harm, but I need access to load maps and save GPS data.

If I get this working I intend to use it to do some mapping for the OSM.

Hope you can help,

Ciarán

Hi,

After a bit more research I have discovered it is because the phone is branded, 3(UK).

They seem to have locked down the OS, so that the signature for TB must not be recognised.

So how do I go about fixing this? Do I just have to get the phone unlocked, or does it have to be unlocked and the firmware updated so that the limitations imposed by 3 are no longer there?

Cheers,

Ciarán
