... <censored/> Smile

Changelog
    - new feature ShowAll for waypoints - shows wpts as a set of POIS and not as a route since BETA
    - fixed some map loading problems introduced in previous 0.9.7x versions since BETA
    - fixed position shift on layer switch since BETA
    - fixed large atlases feature since BETA
    - tmi parser is locale-agnostic since BETA
    - better defaults for LG phones since BETA
    - Blackberry version is now signed, therefore it should finally work flawlessly on all BBs; moreover, restricted API can be used by TB now, and so backlight control is possible (just on/off for now, tested on 8800) via key 3 (or Alt+3 on qwerty)

I found that setting the tile size in Googleak to match my screen size cured this problem.

My screen is 320x240 and map tiles are 512x384. This atlas in TB 0.9.68 works without errors.

Hi kruch,

It would also be great if you switch to another map inside the atlas using the [9] key, to put the cursor at the same coordinates where it was in the old map (not those given by the GPS).

ie.
If you move the cursor to a position other than the GPS coordinates,
if you change the map using the [9] key
if the new map includes the coordinates of the cursor
then center the new map on these coordinates.

At present, the map is centered on the topmost, leftmost tile if no GPS, then on the coordinates given by the GPS.

Cheers,
Nibbler.

My phone is Nokia 6290 and the problem is that Trekbuddy asks every time permission to read user data. In settings allow always is selected. The last version that was free of this problem was 0.6.9. Is there some solution for this problem?

Sometimes i choose "load map" by mistake when i in fact want to load an atlas. (Currently i have just one atlas that fits all my needs.)

Does it really make a difference for TB if you are going to load a map or an atlas?
Why don't you combine this point to "load map/atlas" and then let TB recognize what is chosen?

Perhaps something for the "Bugs"-subforum:
If you switch (offline, of course) to a layer inside an atlas that doesn't show the current coordinates TB refuses loading. In these cases it would be usefull if TB changes position to the nearest available coordinates or at least to the top-left tile of the new map instead of complaining.

Example:
Atlas created with googleak. One layer shows whole country, another just one city. If you switch from city layer to country layer: no problem. But if you scroll away from the city and try to switch back to city layer: TB refuses switching.
As far as i understood it you have to create different maps instead of different layers if you want one view for your country and one for your city. But googleak just creates different layers for each map you are adding. Should i ask olegich to change this behaviour?

BTW: Thanks for fixing mapload to start in standard TB files folder, saves time! But why doesn't it start in standard "maps"-subfolder?

Another idea:
Could you provide a zip-archive including the recommended folder-structure for the storage-card? Maybe with world-map included? Would be good for TB-beginners. I remember that it took me quite some time to find out what folders i had to create on my storage card. Perhaps the localized sub-forums would like to customize this archive with maps of their country (if possible without violating copyrights).

Can you try this trick?

@start78

- merging Load Map/Atlas into one command is somthing I plan to do

- switching to a layer where there is no map for current position - which map to load then? if there's one then ok I can load the only one... how about offering a list of available maps in desired level, ie exactly as what happens when map layer sswitching is activated via key 9?

I think the expected folder structure is described in the doc, however people do not read - I understand that, that is normal Smile
What TB needs is a self-check on start - ie. assignde permissions check (if possible in java) and datadir structure check.

That trick has been always obligatory when using Trekbuddy in Nokia 6290.

As i said: i created my atlas with googleak made by olegich. This tool creates a new layer for each selection you add to your atlas. And each layer includes just one map. So loading the only available map (even if it doesn't include the current position) should work.

In general, I would suggest that a layer in an atlas contains maps of the same "kind", ie. same scale (ie. zoom level in the case of Google Maps) and type (ie. map/satelite/hybrid/... in this case). Isn't it natural... ?

That's the way i understood an atlas is to be structured.

I posted a suggestion in googleak thread.
