On SE phones a list (List UI component) can contain max 255 items Sad

255+ waypoints is "wrong" anyway Wink

What's wrong with it? Shocked

Would it be hard to implement a custom list supporting more entries?

What is the use case for so many wpts in one collection?

Yes, custom list would do it.

Loading a large file of waypoints (170) (gpx file moved from tracks-gpx to wpts subfolder), sometimes, don´t show some names in menu.... waypoint #0000 and from #0126 to #0169.

Pressing key "1", don´t show #0110 to #0169.

Well, I think it could be useful to view POIs for big maps -
like from here: http://www.trekbuddy.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=6133#6133

So you could get an overview of available hospitals, pharmacies, favourite discounters, McDonald's, camping places, etc... just by loading a gpx file. Very Happy

@Kruch
I think that it is time to define different meaning for navigation wpts and POIs in TB.
250 wpts for navigation is a lot, for POI database means just small count.
If we will not have method for POIs preselection like categories or distance to POIs, this kind of points is not supported in fact (in TB).
Another think is support for displayed list of wpts. Is it possible to show short list and "scroll" to next wpts in file up/down ?
This way number of wpts in gpx file can be larger than list limit.

Agree.

BETA 2: http://www.trekbuddy.net/beta/0.9.73/2/index.php

- 32bpp images are back
- NMEA logging fixed (one-file-per-provider-restart-created issue)
- better "compatiblity' of ShowAll with other nav commands
- other minor fixes

They are 24bpp.. Shocked ... Are they really necessary in 24bpp? Only the translucent function of crosshairs.png gets lost.

There is a problem with 8bpp images of the previous Beta version, with the transparency value. With my images run fine.

Is it possible to load a file with POI dynamic like a maps?
If wpts are in displayed area of a map can be load, all another no. If map moves TB load new wpts in memory?

Doesn't seem to work anymore on my phone ...

Should be, but if I understand my code right, the occasion when it is persisted is a bit weird. Will be fixed in tonight's final version.

Great, thanks!

Is there still any chance for this:

Question (SXG75 related):

'Load Map' allows to browse nearly the entire SXG75 filesystem,
and to find a tarred map.

Button 1 / Navigation / Waypoints immediately ends in
the 'wpts' directory of the TrekBuddy file structure, without a
way of escaping to the parent directory.
Could this be implemented in the same way as for 'Load Maps'?

That way it was possible to load recorded tracks as waypoints,
without the need for an 'external' computer.

Or is it technically not possible (eg by Java permissions)
to implement such a behaviour?

Technically possible, but... the concept has been different. I'm not saying it will not change.

At least, it is a bit dangerous - track may contains thousands of wpts, and thousands of wpts is a mess. I think I see your SXG-specific point here.
But do not dispear. There is a change ahead in apprehension of "wpts", for at least POIs require it...
