Does Trekbuddy support SWEREF 99 TM?

This is the successor of RT90.

SWEREF 99 (lat, long) is for all practical purposed equal to WGS84 (lat, long), but SWEREF 99 TM is the full country covering transverse Mercator projection using the 15deg latitude as center. (like using UTM zone 33 for the whole country)

EPSG:3006

A lot of good data is being released in this projection.

Code:

PROJCS["SWEREF99 TM",
    GEOGCS["SWEREF99",
        DATUM["SWEREF99",
            SPHEROID["GRS 1980",6378137,298.257222101,
                AUTHORITY["EPSG","7019"]],
            TOWGS84[0,0,0,0,0,0,0],
            AUTHORITY["EPSG","6619"]],
        PRIMEM["Greenwich",0,
            AUTHORITY["EPSG","8901"]],
        UNIT["degree",0.01745329251994328,
            AUTHORITY["EPSG","9122"]],
        AUTHORITY["EPSG","4619"]],
    UNIT["metre",1,
        AUTHORITY["EPSG","9001"]],
    PROJECTION["Transverse_Mercator"],
    PARAMETER["latitude_of_origin",0],
    PARAMETER["central_meridian",15],
    PARAMETER["scale_factor",0.9996],
    PARAMETER["false_easting",500000],
    PARAMETER["false_northing",0],
    AUTHORITY["EPSG","3006"],
    AXIS["y",EAST],
    AXIS["x",NORTH]]

Proj4js.defs["EPSG:3006"] = "+proj=utm +zone=33 +ellps=GRS80 +towgs84=0,0,0,0,0,0,0 +units=m +no_defs";

Yep, TB supports a lot of TM map projections. WGS84 datum is supported by app directly as internal, as well as TM projections.
It is enough, if you calibrate map properly using WGS84 (or GRS80) based datum and TM parameters in calibration software (like OziE), means TM lat of origin 0,0, central meridian 15,0, scale factor 0,9996, FE 500000,0, FN 0,0, etc. Next, calibrated map should be converted to TB format, as usual.

But if you would follow definition exactly ... Smile
GRS80 ellipsoid is supported both in TB
http://www.trekbuddy.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7158&start=8
and OziE (as number 11).
So if you include declaration line in OziE datums.dat file, ie
Code:
SWEREF99,11,0.00,0.00,0.00

and use it the same way in TB declaration datums.txt
Code:
SWEREF99{GRS 80,0,0,0}=map:SWEREF99

app will follow it.
In most of cases using WGS84 ellipsoid instead of GRS80 can be enough. Just less works Wink

Strictly speaking, when I am using SWEREF 99 TM, North is not exactly "up", unless I am on the 15 degree longitude. So strictly speaking one should really rotate the crosshairs on the map screen to point North, depending on the position. Now that it is easy to rotate things, it might be worth looking at, but the angles are quite small. So I'm not sure if it is worth the effort.
