What version of Android Galaxy S2 has? I tested it in Xperia Mini with Android 4.0.x (I think), and it seemed ok.

I just checked on Xperia J, Android 4.0.4 and Z1 Android 4.2.2; last TB build 1.31 used.
Depending on which phone side is directed towards the north (almost), you can choose what you like Smile
True magnetic North is just up (10 deg.), needle shows it well in portrait mode only Wink

For me,
- tested on Samsung xCover 2 - S7710 (JB 4.1.2) with TB v1.31 beta
- tested on Samsung Galaxy Trend (android 4.0.4) with TB v1.31 beta
-> problem with the two devices : needle jump +-90° with all any other rotate position different than vertical mode.

@boowoo
Did you tried both left phone side to north and right side to north in landscape mode ?
If I tried ie down phone side to North, screen isn't rotated at all and needle shows good direction too. But it is hard to read something Smile

@ Ranger, sorry for crossed post,

Left phone side pointing to North -> needle point to West
Right phone side pointing to North -> needle point to East
Bottom phone side pointing to North -> needle point to South (with forced rotation)

Hope it can help to fix this bug ? Smile

@Kruch, ... you are lucky ... ?

Not working well on Samsung xCover2 GT-S7710 (JB 4.1.2) Sad

If i turn around me on 360°, the needle work well from o° to 180° and after needle stay locked on North position (top of the phone) along the rest of rotation 180° to 360° !
-> same problem portrait and landscape

Works better (this time really Wink). Could not test reverse portrait, I do not know why screen does not rotate +-180 deg, but in landscape and reverse landscape orientation magnetic compass worked fine.

@Kruch,

Thank you, ... you are the best ! Very Happy

Works fine for me in portrait, landscape, reverse landscape ... this is the most important.

I've tested reverse portrait mode and it works fine only with app like "Rotation Control".
I use always app "Rotation Control" with TB for locking the screen, to prevent freeze of the phone, in mountain bike, when device is moving too quickly in all directions ...

It was hard work for you, but thank you Very Happy , now for me, problem is solved !
