... for kruch,

fine to hear about that u have a k750 to test. Maybe it is usefull to do an update (SEUS) of your firmware, because this old one were very buggy on other points (mp3, noise, volume). I believe nobody, who is cool enough to use your wonderfull tb, will stack to this old firmware. So tests should be done with a newer one (eg. K750 R1CA021, K750 R1DB001, or W800 R1BC002).

What the hell ?
I have the same version of firmware ?!?!
Maybe this depends on GPS module ? I have Nokia LD-3W.

I have LD-3W too. But unfortunately now I can reproduce what you complain about - phone gets freezed when I try to load waypoints from a file. Funny thing is that it works when I have tracklog recording on! Shocked

Could you explain exactly how you do this ?

Sorry! I misread your comment - manually-entered waypoints cannot be save at present... I wonder what your use-case is for such feature? Would a gpx with points you actually were at, mixed together with points you pointed to, be useful? Or you rather think of creating a gpx while eg complete "offline"?

At least, I still can send/receive SMS. Confused

Thanks! k.

Sometimes I use waypoints for trip planning. So if the map is in mobile, it is easy to prepare (and save) waypoints for later use.

What effect you have when your phone is receiving SMS with position ?
In my I have standard menu to open/save SMS message. It seems like application doesn't control incomming messages.
I have message starting with $TBMYT, some numbers and coordinates next. ending with name and *00
TB reads SMS-es when is active ?
But what if isn't ?

What I'm doing wrong ? Confused

TB uses port 16007 for SMS.

If I do not have Location Sharing/receive enabled, the message really arrives in normal Inbox... I thought it shouldn't.. I can see now myself it does on k750... but it doesn't on 6230i... I'll read the specs again.

If I have it enabled (effective upon next start), when a location SMS arrives, it is delivered to TB, information dialog is displayed ("Location info from XXX received"), and the location is enlisted among other waypoints, with name equal to sender number... and the message does not appear in normal Inbox, of course.

I checked all once again. No difference, if I have location sharing on or off.
So the problem must come from something another, maybe operator customization or used language. Did you use english in your phone ?

I've just tried with English, it is ok. How about Permissions->Messaging for the application, what option do you have selected?

WTF... Sad ... anyway, I'll change SMS reception initialization in 0.9.2, current solution is bad, though it works (but not for you, unfortunately).

Ranger, would you be interested in trying pre-0.9.2? I'm especially curious if 1) SMS reception will work for you 2) waypoint loading still hangs if BT connection is active 3) backlight control finally works for SE ... I've tested it a bit with K750i/R1AA008 (have no idea how to find out if there are any customizations), all worked for me. Thanks!

My first impression - SPAM !!! Very Happy

1. Receiving position now works !!!
2. I can load waypoints !!!
3. Backlight works, there are not blinks every 15 sec. !!!

... sounds cool.

For kruch and BT, in K750/w800i there is a "BT power save" ON/OFF option, which could be the problem
