BTW, wtf what is "numeric input hack"?. This is what i (we?) mean, that should be avoided.[/url]

WIKI Information :
numeric input hack (since v1.0.4) useful for some Samsung models to allow changing numeric values like GPX(dt) etc. Try when you have issues with delete/backspace current value in numeric boxes/settings.

I 've check it and now not really necessary for B2710 ... I don't know for other phones ?

Simple proposal for unified a bit app interface.
Icons shown by default on all screens Smile
It solves not visible light indicator problem, gives visible way to open point list for compass or CMS screens, etc.
For landscape mode icons bar should be shown rather as vertical, ie on right or left screen side.

+1 -> agree with you Ranger, it should be a good start point for "cleaning" the interface, and i think not too hard to implement. Smile

For new Trekbudy's users, an other important point now, is the update of the help file (information) for touch screen devices.
Maybe usual contributors can do something for their country if Kruch could give bases of direction for this work ...
I'm waiting and ready to help ... Wink

What can I say ...
Simple Info explanation in words, where keyboard numbers are on touchscreen, is included in PL translation from years.
But looking at some user opinions in GP, probably not all read it Smile

@ Ranger,

Yes, but those who read it and who use it do not talk about it ... Wink

More seriously, i think just that it was interesting to built (add) an help file, specialy for touch screen device because there are more and more difference with old "java" or others non-touch screen phones. Smile

Feel free to do it. There is not probably a problem add to app what you would now ? Smile
Pure text description of interface can be placed in app Info (content is different for each app screen type).
Second chance is to use additional CMS-es, just like few pages book. See sample.
The only question is how to easy display the same content on so different screens ... Wink
There are more complicated thinks used for touchscreens in apps, like showed text descriptions of icons bar in WP, etc.
Graphical app interface should be easy & self explaining as possible first, just like touching, n'est pas ? Smile

I know what you say, and for me CMS is not the good way for that.
I would like to implement touch screen specifications in help text, but, like usual, i need Kruch to built the res.file ... I don't know how to do it alone ! Crying or Very sad

Not true, you can prepare language.res file as usual and put it in app resources folder anytime ... Smile
You are preparing french translation or I'm wrong ?

I agree that a brief touch interface explanation under "HOME" > "Info" would be good.

I would also like it if all possible touch areas (not only + and -) be shown (also to fade away after 3 s) on all screens. They could be semi-transparent if they will be too much in the way.

Hi, there is a lot of ideas reg. GUI ... but ... what the new functionality ? I like to have a possibilities to see track info, like distance, profile ...

I am using the TB by a walking or bicycle ride ... when I would like to check the saved GPX ... need to close TB and use another program ...

It would be great, if I can see a basis info reg. the track direct in TB.

Bye

@boowoo, JNT
See sample, how Info looks in PL translation Smile
There is description of keyboard, touchscreen fields and note that some functions are available via icons bar, if used.
Available from 1.0.17, as I remember Smile

@Nufik
I'm not sure, TB is navigation tool mainly and I don't use statistics too much on trip Smile
BTW, parameters are shown in CMS, it is opened for users think ...
