Changelog
    - fixed atlas layer swiching + easyzoom option is back with new default value "auto"
    - ad hoc atlases are supported now; you do not need to update atlas index file when you add a new layer, instead just use empty index file (example attached; it is just .tba file packed in tar) and TB will scan folders
    - [Android] finer backlight control: 10-25-50-100% levels, long press to change, short press to keep backlight on/off

On BB there are now 2 EASY ZOOM options in SETUP/DESKTOP:

[checkbox] easyzoom with volume keys

EasyZoom [dropdown off/layers/auto]

I think the first one is no more needed ...

Such settings are available in app long time, first means use buttons for map switching or not, second how to select maps from atlas.
No more keys needed for switching ? ... Smile

But there is an off option in the second one, so in my opinion the first one is not needed anymore.

Wrong.
Just try to hold volume up or down when off option (from off/layers/auto) was selected and easyzoom with volume keys is set.
What you will see ?
Layers or maps list will be presented (unfortunately sound level will be changed next too, if pushed too long).
So off option in easyzoom means don't switch map, but show list.
Option easyzoom with volume keys means allow use for it volume buttons.

The option just gives more options (=more keys) for switching layers/maps.
Easyzoom dropdown lets you select how layers switching should be done. (layers may represent zoom levels or map types etc, there are a few different layouts)

Yep.
But maybe when layers or maps list is shown, app should support volume keys by ... do nothing, cause changing sounds for list ...
There is another question about settings, means tracklog options.
Now we have settings:
- never
- ask
- always
and control in main menu as Tracklog Start/Stop
Shouldn't settings options be:
- never, but ...
- ask
- always, but ...
Why ? Up to this time never was never & always was always, just like do and don't disturb Wink
Now never means you can change your mind, and always can be not always (means you can stop tracklog even by mistake).
Shouldn't Tracklog Start/Stop be shown for ask setting only ? Maybe ? Smile

There are two samples of new easy atlas header usage, first shows it as main map enumeration method,
second as extension to standard header, used just for fast atlas modifications in device Smile

Hello,

I just installed this version on my Samsung GT-S5830i Android 2.3.6 -
and the backport version on my 10inch HP Compaq Airlife 100 Android 1.6.
In both environments TB is running fine.

Thank you Kruch.

Regards svgt

Embarassed I used 2.2 API

Just published fixed build 20140909/1.28 (just removed 2.2 API, not important anyway, no need to update if you are using 2.2+) now, both in Play Store and here on the forum.
Should work on any 2.0+ Android.

android.apk
android-offline.apk

What twofinger zoom ? Doesn't work or you don't know how to use it ? Smile
Two finger gesture (alias pinch) works with x2 magnifier, for visible map.
If you put 2 fingers on screen center and move them both to opposite screen borders, map will be magnified x2.
If you move them back, magnifier will be turned off.
Options off/layers/auto are for easyzoom to choose a way of selecting maps from atlas. Means which map will be loaded next.
Nothing common with x2 magnifier.
