Nokia E63 (Symbian). Trying to upgrade TB from 1.2.5 to 1.26. Warning about unsafe application -> Continue -> "Authorisation unsuccessful". It is certificate problem? Any idea?
Indeed when loading gpx track or just GoTo was used ? :-)
Nothing special, it just means that you dont have map in atlas layer, where point is.
But TB can load tracks, even if map for position is not present :-)
Just try mapless mode, etc. Case is not 1.26 specific.
error appeared when using 'GoTo'

i'm using nomap.xml when loading the gpx data, the thing is i couldn't see the track at all, on the top of the screen, it displayed my current location in RED color (i'm in Washington DC area). but once i touch the screen, the coordinates changed to southern hemisphere in regular white color, and it doesn't seem to allow me to move to DC area to show the track ( N38, W77)

It is a bit tricky, but you can do it Smile
First open Settings, Basic and clear path to default map. Use phone Back to change settings and restart app. You will see World map. Move to expected position on map near Washington DC by hand and next use mapless mode. Track will be on place Smile

- Ranger is right, nomap does not cover whole world, but only (quite large) area with last position.
Maybe TB should prompt user if he wants to adjust nomap to cover given coordinates...

- Symbian authentication: TB is no longer signed. Fortunately most phones ask for permissions only once per session.

Android

- ad rotation crash, if anyone could get me log file (eg. using "alogcat" app)

- published new APK (version code 20140730) with missing menu fix

- KitKat SD write access: if I get it correctly, workaround could be: 1. rename TB folder on SD 2. start TB and let it create its folders 3. copy files from old tree to new... ??

Thanks. But I have one more advise: all trick failed when I try to upgrade. I've tried to uninstall 1.2.5 and do fresh install of 1.2.6 - it worked for me.

Yep, it can be hard to upgrade from 1.2.5 signed, cause 1.2.6 trekbuddy-symbian.jad file doesn't contain certificates longer.
So way you choosed is correct Smile

thanks, i had to repeatedly changed map layer in order to scroll to my area. pain in the neck. not sure why it can't auto detect my location on the map through internal GPS.

however, whenever i touch maps or settings on the screen, the apps crashes and exits.

Kruch already stated, that 1.26 app version will be reverted to 2.1 compatibility mode (maybe) this evening.
So up to this time you can load app on forum in 1.2.5 version and check. Should work on 2.3.4 without problems.
Seems you are first time user, so one more.
TB is map app mainly and you can use ie available tools to create needed atlases for app, from different sources.
Mapless mode have already described limitations, as not typical usage scenario. But using build-in map trick you can move to any world area first and use mapless mode next.

no-map has some limitations, I personally do not use it but of course I'm open to improvement requests.

Android build with 2.x compatiblity has already been published (version code 20140730).

@Kruch
Windows Phone: Thanks for the File Manager (Access via Information)!
Will you apply downloading tracks/waypoints/routes from OneDrive in the next version?

Already works, just upload gpx files to OneDrive TrekBuddy/wpts folder & run TB next to sync.
Remember to use "Yes" when OneDrive asks ... Smile

Works, great!
BTW
@Kruch
Why "Trekbuddy" quote is empty in Windows Store and download is possible only by the direct link? It is quite inconvenient.
