I'm not sure if WP version is usable and stable enough yet for being really public in the Store, still waiting for more feedback...

Windows Phone: Thanks for the File Manager (Access via Information)!

I wanted this File Manager to be multipurpose tool for deleting unwanted maps and tracklogs from app internal memory, uploading/downloading to/from OneDrive etc, but it is not implemented yet and maybe I will switch to using context menus completely and remove this option, because:

- for getting GPX files from OneDrive there is "synchronization"
- maps from OneDrive can be opened as usual
- tracks and wpts can be uploaded via context menu command
- so maps could be deleted also by context menu command (which is just not yet implemented)

Hi,
I've tested now the current version 1.26 on Xcover2 JB 4.1.2 and the menu is display bad with white windows for settings .. Navigate for a few moment in the menu, and app freeze and crash completly... Need to restart the phone to exit !

I install the precedent version 1.26 and all is OK with nice black menu and work fine.

V 1.26 seems unstable depending on the version of android ...

If TB crashed please use "alogcat" application to save log file and send it to me, or send "report to Google" (I do not know how) I will see the crash report in google dev console.

White/black windows? Color of windows changes with TB version??

offline is without INTERNET permission (=>plugins won't be able to make connection)

@boowoo both look ok to me Smile seems that theme changes according to targetSdk attr

so it's possible to create xml to replace the default no-maps.xml for online map browsing?

if so, what's the syntax?

Sorry it does not work like that, map plugins are yet to be designed. It is the next big task for me, to replace current scripting language (HECL) with something more friendly and performant, either Javascript or Lua. Map plugins support will be part of this.

Hi Kruch,

glad to see that you are still working on TB and still supporting my loved BB Smile

What exact did you do? From time to time after starting it takes ages to get a fix for no reason. Restarting TB or the whole BB helps in these cases ... so perhaps that might have been fixed? I'll keep my eyes on this.

Thanks
Stefan

I know, I have no idea why it is sometimes so slow... Sad

I was looking at the GPS API on BB to see if it can be speed up. I found that I could specify different source for first fix and subsequent ones. So for the first fix either assisted (when configured in Settings->Location) or autonomous mode is used, and for subsequent only autonomous (ie. only internal GPS). It has no effect when not using assisted mode, and most probably no effect anyway, unfortunately.

BB 6.0+ has another option to return fix from geolocation service if GPS fix in unavaible during some timeout. I assume such fix is cell- or wlan-based, not sure if the precision of such fix is usable, and I guess it involves data traffic.

I think I have read somewhere that an app on KitKat can write only to folders it created, but I assume you did not create TB folders by hand and let TB do it, right?

I probably have that TrekBuddy-dir created on my memory-card several phones ago.

I moved the TrekBuddy-dir to the phone's internal "sdcard", and track-recording works. This seems to verify that the culprit is the idiotic (imho) policy change regarding how to handle sdcards in android.

Not a very acute problem for me, I will either root my phone or just let the maps live on the internal memory for now.

You can point TB datadir to internal memory, and still keep maps on SD.
