Hi there,

I have got errors here:

[6] InvalidMapException [mymap]: Failed to parse SET file java.io.EOFExc

and on other maps in the atlas

[6] InvalidMapException [mymap]: Tileset not found: <correct path>

I compared all files of the corresponding atlas to my backups. They are defently identical. So the reason is not the atlas. Another atlas (created exactly the same way, also years ago) is still working perfect.

Maybe some settings? but I didn't change anything.

I use Trekbuddy on Android, Hardware Samsung i8160, Filesystem FAT.

Any idea is very welcome!!

Keep Treking, Buddy! Smile

Hi kruch!

Thank you for helping me with this issue! Smile

But.... .set files?

My Atlas looks that way:
Code:

    <DIR>          10map

             2.639 topo09 de gesamt.tmi
                 0 topo09 de gesamt.tmc

........

I am used to change to this atlas with MENU>MAPS>Select atlas-tar or TBA-file>Select Zoom Layer>Select map.

Yesterday I did some more testing.
I was able to open my file structure as an atlas with one of the maps inside!
But when going through the layers my problem came back.

Some layers are working good, some cause errors.
I found out, that it does matter if I select the TAR-file or the TBA-file when opening the atlas. On TBA I can open layer 17 and "zoom out" until 13. Going one down to 12 causes an error.
Tryed to to the same way by selection atlas-TBA-file: Error on layer 17.

Strage things happen here!

As I said I compared all files on my android against my backup (dated Oct 2012) and there is binary no difference. The atlas on my android is stored on FAT- So it is no problem of permissions. And FAT has no errors.

I also tested older version of TB (Jan 2012) but got the same issue.

OK... TB itself does not cause the error. My atlas-files are 1:1 and didn't change. No permission problems. So... WTF does cause the issue??

Any idea is still welcome. Crying or Very sad

Comparing files means nothing, you should check loading every single map in atlas first, step by step.
Or maybe recreate atlas header, tmi files etc. Too big atlas ?
I played a bit with Ace 2, but couldn't find such problem. This is popular model for TB users.
Do you use original system or some mod ? Memory card is working well ? Phone isn't overloaded with many apps ? Maybe should be serviced ?
Case is rather unusual indeed.

Comparing means anything in that case. Because I am using this special atlas since 3 years. Again: It is binary 1:1 compared to my first Backup after phone-change. Therefore nothing in this atlas got damaged cause there was simply no changes.

TB is NOT modded. Ace 2 is, but was not changed since 2012.

If it's not the atlas itself and it's not TB I am stuck at the moment.
But I will let you know if I find out the reason for all this.

I hate Murphy!

SOLVED!

In my atlas structure I found several .tmc files.
Kruch annonced them in Version 1.2.2.

Quote:
- added automatic binary metadata creation for tar maps (files with .tmc extension), may help improving speed and memory usage of map loading on some devices
- added expert option Settings->Misc->Read buffer size (probably useless for most, but anyway...)

3 of the .tmc files had 0 bytes size.
I deleted ALL .tmc in the atlas folders because they are created anyway if non-existant.

And hey, my atlas is working without any issue.
STRIKE!!! Smile
