Hi krunch, thank you for this excellent program.
I have updated to v1.1.1 and when I try to open "Location menu", I have the next error:
"show menu error: java.lang
IllegalArgumentException:
Location Timings = 1,-1,-1"

I've read default value for android must be a single number, but I can't open the Location menu

you are not the only one, unfortunately, the problem is that I do not know if this invalid value is already in saved configuration, or if it is runtime default... Rolling Eyes

this build will show it:

Downscale is possible I think, but how to trigger it? no idea...

Theoretically, it could be done by overloading of Fire key long pressing. Long pressing of "0" key changes the action of "0" click between waypoint texts and crosshair transparency. It could also change the action of Fire long press between zoom in / zoom out. Current status of this switch should be visible at display, analogically to Caps Lock button status.

Thanks for every thing!

May I replace the contents of

trekbuddy.apk\assets\resources\world.map
trekbuddy.apk\assets\resources\world.set
trekbuddy.apk\assets\resources\set\

and then, the default map would become what I want?

My tool would be 7-Zip.

I do not know if/how you can modify apk (without breaking the signature), but yes, these files should be the default map.

oh! It's very easy.

I use 7-Zip to modify the apk file, but fail to install.

What is the signature?

By the way, good morning ^_^.

@stanfox
You can set any loaded map or atlas as default in TB, so for what you would change apk file ? Smile
File is signed (for security and size reasons) and shouldn't be modified this way, doesn't matter what kind of tool you try to use.
App itself contains small world preview map, in case you don't have other one.
Not usable too much in real navigation, just sample map Smile

1.1.1 works quite fine, especially the zoom-feature is great - thanks!

When testing I found a little problem on Android: with 120% the points of a gpx-file are displayed moved a few hundred meters (or not zoomed?). It seems to depend on the zoom-factor - with 150 and 200 there was no problem, perhaps an integer-rounding-problem?

Sometimes the app hangs - couldn't reproduce it- sorry.

How can I avoid granting the permission with android - it says grant or doesn't install!

Suggestion: By the way these HECL features are quite rich (or fat?), shouldn't they be part of another apk-package so you can choose what features/Addons to install?

Hello,

I install every update of trekbuddy but the option "easyzoom with volume keys" never works with my E71.
Is it normal?

Thank you.

And Android. On others, volume keys events are not dispatched to the application.

perhaps this configuration option should be removed on devices which do not support it, e.g. BlackBerry
