TrekBuddy works well on the PlayBook - very smooth once it is working.
A couple of bugs though.
When changing between atlases and maps TB closes with the following screen. It seems to happen more often when changing to a large atlas but still happens when changing to a small atlas. It stops when selecting cr.tar file.
The other issue is the backlight control. This does not stop the backlight timeout and even worse when it does time out the GPS loses lock.
Here is a screen shot when all is working well!
Thanks kruch and I hope you can address the items.

Good news kruch! Did you buy one or is it a free one for developing an app?

Backlight control will unfortunately remain known issue for now, the player probably does not support well (or at all).
Map loading may work better in 1.1.0, TB now uses more low-level file access on Android/PB. |

Just managed to load v 1.1.0 as the site has been down for some days.
Map loading is very good now - every map/atlas change has worked so far.
Re the backlight, when a video is playing the backlight/screen stays on so is it possible to emulate a video?
Don't understand what 'Live' is though.
Thanks for the new version kruch. |
