Hi Kruh.
I like this application but something strange was happen.
I had instaled ver 10. Worked fine till I installed ver 12 , but this version have problem with key 3 (long press) Message "service not accessible....". It does not matter if TBservice is installed or not. And another problem tarred atlases reading slow. 4 sec.
Ver 11. The same problem with key 3.
Then I installed back ver 10. And now it is interesting atlases working slow. With or without TBservice . Sad
I restarted phone . No change. I have nokia C5-00
In ver10 key 3 work/worked fine

Thanks a million for a new version. Finally, waypoint deletion is fixed and working well! I still miss several features in Android version:

1. Transparent icons in corners of default map screen
2. Option to "zoom" maps a.k.a. problem with higher pixel density displays. Even zoom 15 of Google maps is hard to read on my HTC Desire, but it looked perfect on my old Nokia S40 phone. Just dubbling all pixels might do the trick...
3. Start Trekbuddy on the last position. When I turn off gps and open Trekbuddy again, it loads default atlas map screen, instead of the position where I have been before turning off the gps.

Thanks for your effort!!!

on which devices ?
i have a nokia 6720c with magnetic sensor.
but i dont see any changes in the compass screen.
must i switch it on ?
i did not found such an option.

With Nokia Maps the Sensor is working well.

Would be great if TB could use the sensor.

Greetings,
Thomas

I was wondering if it would be at all possible to integrate custom touch functionality on a CMS screen. User defined touch area(s) linked to HECL functions. That way we would have much more than "button 2" available for CMS interaction...

edit:
Now also posted under WishList.

Probably not accessible with java on this device. Nokia Maps is Symbian app, I suppose.

Yes, that becomes obvious when you download the installer which is a .sisx file.

Yes of course, i just want to say that my mobile has a working Magnetic sensor.

I thing jsr256 is necessary.
I know there was a tool, which display all available jsr on my phone.
But i did not remember which one it was.

You are right, jsr256 is available on 6720c, but still, sensor is not accessible/visible with this API. In this document, Nokia describes that jsr179 should be used for hw compass ("The Orientation support for Location API (JSR-179), if device has magnetometer hardware ").

Anyway, on all different Nokias I have tried to list available sensors using jsr256 - 6720c, N97, C5 and C7 - there are these five sensors:

Code:
Sensor #1: Quantity: acceleration
Sensor #1: Description: Acceleration sensor measures acceleration to identify for example orientation of the phone. Sensor is always on.
Sensor #2: Quantity: acceleration
Sensor #2: Description: Acceleration sensor measures acceleration to identify for example orientation of the phone. Sensor data is unprocessed. Sensor is always on.
Sensor #3: Quantity: battery_charge
Sensor #3: Description: Battery sensor shows battery charge level in percentage. Sensor is always on.
Sensor #4: Quantity: charger_state
Sensor #4: Description: Charger sensor shows whether charger is connected. Sensor is always on.
Sensor #5: Quantity: network_field_intensity
Sensor #5: Description: Signal strength sensor shows strength of network connection in percentage. Sensor is always on.

HW compass - or whatever it is called - sensor is just not there.

Having upgraded to 1.0.12 I thought I would test the navigation feature out. Wednesday evening it worked fine on a short walk with voice assistance working well. I noticed you had uploaded another version so updated to that straightaway. Anyway I thought I'd test out the navigation assitance for real on a short journey today but had a few problems. Every time I reached a waypoint an error popped up (see diagram below) at first I wondered if ConvWPT picked a direction for which there was no sound file or something similar but when this happened for every waypoint and for both RouteAlong and RouteBack I realised there was a problem somewhere.

I've re-tried Wednesday evenings short walk and the error now happens with that too.

Any ideas on what's happening here what ever I try I can't get it to work again...

P.S. I'm using Samsung Galaxy Europa with Android 2.2 if it's relevant

Thanks for any Help
Paul.

Just highlight the touch areas. I know there is a map of touch areas on the forum, but there is none inside the programe (at least none I know about) and sometimes I forgot which one is which. For example I still have no idea which area to touch in order to show waypoint description in map. It would be enough to use some transparent icons similar to easy zoom ones.
