Currently I also have 2.3.7 (CM7) on my Spica: (http://forum.samdroid.net/f62/cyanogenmod-7-2-nightly-spica-alpha7-2-a-5631/)

But I had the same problem with all the previous versions as well...

I have a build that works better for me. As a "side effect" there is now notification in status bar when tracking is alive.
Also improved app lifecycle, so some problems with black screens after restart etc are hopefully gone.

Excellent!!

After a quick test (only), this seems to stay alive in the background for me. Very Happy

I like the icon in the status bar. Can it have different colours depending on the status?

Will test more later.

Ufff .. I keep my fingers crossed. Cool

You mean status of GPS, like in the main window - orange/red/green/blue? Possible, although the design guide says it should be white on transparent background ...

Yes, that is what I meant. Perhaps it would be better then to change the icon design slightly for each state. (Then it still stays compliant while giving info to the user...)

It would be cool Cool (and also quick way to check the status just by looking at the icon).
But - later, there are more pressing issues to be solved... Wink
