I'm well aware of the fact that it is not an antivirus, but frankly speeking it needs some polishing. Touch screen control is quite bad and Trekbuddy doesn't factor in higher pixel density displays. What looked fine on my old Nokia, is no longer legible on My HTC Desire.

You can tweak most of the screen settings, create your own maps and change most (if not all) of the screen graphics (fonts, icons & pointers etc) to your own.
You can also make your own CMS based themes if you wish.
I run TrekBuddy on several devices and I’ve customised it to look good on all of them 
Yes… TrekBuddy does have a few glitches, but creating an application to run flawlessly on many different devices is almost impossible.
So as Ranger said, so why don't you update it yourself and share your changes with the rest of the TrekBuddy community?

Hello Kruch. Welcome back. I would like to "bump" the topic of starting-position problems.
It would be great if the cursor would be set on the same position where it was when the TB was closed (no matter if GPS was on or off). Also, the same atlas, layer and map should be used. Now TB sometimes does it and sometimes don't. I think I have to use "Open Atlas" function to make TB remember the position.
I am using Sony Ericsson Elm and an external GPS module. Could you please look at this issue? |

Same here. I've been assured that TB remembers where you last were and restarts from there, but for me TB always opens at the same location no matter where I've travelled with it.

I'm bumping the "Add waypoints item to menu" topic - it is VERY important for us who (like me) have mobile with sliding keyboard (Siemens B5702 for example) - nothing to do with BB...
The idea is to incorporate the Waypoints menu into the main menu, so Waypoints are accessible from there, not only by pressing the "1" key.
The benefit is clear - using TrekBuddy with waypoints without the need to slide the keyboard out
I'll be very very glad if this feature will be included right in next version 1.0.12. And not only me, I guess... Thanks! |

I cannot install any version of TB right now on my Nokia N97. I get the authorisation failed or authentication failed error regardless of method. The methods of installation I have tested are;
- downloading jad+jar to phone and installing from there
- installin from the installation webpage (jad)
It looks to me like the Thawte Premium Server CA is missing the "symbian installation" tag, and thus it cannot be used to sign apps for Nokia's implementation of Symbian. Am I correct in this?
I even uninstalled my previous 0.9.99, so I have no TB at all right now 
Please help me.

@haraldh can you check more details about the certificates?
S60 5th device I was able to have a look at was 5230, with default java, it has two Thawte Premium Server CA (this is exact subject name) certificates - one is labeled "MIDP2 Thawte Premium Server CA", the second just "Thawte Premium Server CA". They are the same, both have serial number 01, but they have different trust settings ("MIDP2 ..." has option for application installation). |
