Hi Kruhc,
I've tried to read through various previous threads on BNG, and just wondering what current status and plans are.
>>1. It would be great to see (perhaps via hecl) the BNG coordinates of (at least) the currently received active gps location even if the active map has been calibrated using non-OSGB or non-BNG datums.
This would really help as a backup if lost on hills in the UK in bad weather etc., and now that MobAC has OS maps, we're a step closer... Cool
>>2. I can understand that it may be complex or perhaps impossible for TB to accurately position the cursor over map tiles that have been calibrated weirdly in BNG.
>>3. However, TB can indeed clearly convert the current active position signal into BNG coordinates (e.g., if I have a map calibrated as "BNG", the TB displays current coords as BNG )
>> 4. Ergo, would it not be possible to quite simply provide that active BNG position as a variable exposed via hecl ??
<<My current workaround is just to always have on the phone a fragment of a map that's in OSGB/BNG, so I can switch to that if I want to see the BNG coords (even if I cannot then see position on map), but that's a bit cumbersome especially with multiple waypoints (7,000 so slow to load!).>>

Thanks again for a brilliant app, and apologies if I've missed anything obvious here. Any better workarounds gratefully accepted...

This ("force grid" feature) is one the many overdue features Cool

Seriously, I think v1.0.8 will be the last fixing-major-bugs-only version, and then I'll prepare some plan for the future...
