I changed my theme so that it is suitable for phones with a 480 x 800 screen, with full screen off (so the actual height is 696).
I'm sorry I can't make any screenshots so you'll have to try it out yourself.

Top of the screen
dedicated to present time and speed, maximum and average speed.

Graphs
Top one is the speed graph and bottom one is the altitude graph.
There are two CMS-screens, the main difference between the two screens is the horizontal axis. One is time and the other is distance.
The graphs automatically adjust to the speed and altitude, and the distance and time traveled.

Middle of the screen
Distance and altitude information.
Because the distance measurement with an internal GPS doesn't seem to work I made a workaround. It gives an estimate of the total distance, based on the speed. It is not a very good estimate but it works well to have an idea and to draw the graphs. If the total distance is correctly available. this value is used.
For total ascent and descent I made an estimate that only changes if the altitude difference is more than 20 m, because altitude measurement is not very reliable. If you think this should be more or less, open the hcl-file with notepad and change the first value (dh) to the value you consider appropriate.

Bottom of the screen
Navigation information: most of it is empty if you did not select a waypoint or a route. If you select a waypoint or navigate along a route, it shows 'velocity make good' (part of the speed in the direction of the waypoint), direction to waypoint, distance to waypoint, and estimated time of arrival (although this doesn't work anymore like it used to Sad ). If you saved your route using ConvWPT by tchelo_mgf, the direction at the next waypoint is also shown.
If you have satellite information, this shows at the very bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, the satellite information overwrites the waypoint-comment if the comment is very long.
I tried to use the system fonts as little as possible because they can be too big or too small, depending on the phone and the settings, but I couldn't do that for the waypoint-name and comment.

I hope you enjoy it!

To show what the theme looks like, I ran trekbuddy on two phones at the same time during a train trip. The phones gave different information, especially on the altitude, see attachments.
The samsung ascended 59 m, the htc descended 34 m (and the real altitude difference was less than 10 m).

Gisela,
Thank you for the additional posting.
That is very considerate of you.
Now I can compare the two hcl files and made modifications as I please.
Best Regards,
Tom

Now that I have found a way to use the whole screen, I changed the CMS to 480 x 800.
I also found a way to show it landscape, so I made it 480 x 800 and 800 x 480 at the same time.

I added a new parameter: kip, measuring climbing intensity for biking.

I added some screenshots, the main difference is in the diagrams: time versus speed and altitude and the distance versus speed and altitude.

Enjoy!

Hello gisela,
Good to see that someone is still developing new CMS files. Nice work. Interesting to see that you were able to get the screens to rotate to landscape mode. Gives me incentive to get a bigger format phone.

QUESTION: Is the green icon your GPS indicator? If so how did you accomplish the change to a custom icon over the standard TB icon.
Will have to look at your coding for that but where did you place the icon file and what did you name it. This is something I had requested in a"Wishlist".
Regards,
Tom

Hello Tom,
the answer is easy, I just put the status icon nine times on the screen, in the form of a circle Wink

Very Good so simple I didnt recognize it. I thought now I can change the status icon to red/blue/green GPS. Anytime I show TB to someone they want to know how it indicates a gps connection. Actually the little icon is difficult to see in sunlight. Will try your solution, Thanks Tom

I was "WIshing" to add that icon and whatever else was possible to the "Resources" folder for more personal customization. Unfortunately no one else voiced any interest. I do understand there are more important priorities to attend to. Kurch is fantastic with continual improvements to TB. It would be unreasonable to expect a single request to be added. However, I would gladly send in another dona$ion.

Can you please tell us how you managed to make it work in 480x800 (use whole screen)? And also how to make it work in landscape mode?

I can make my windows phone flip to landscape using BsB tweaks. I can only use this tweak with 1-tile scrolling, because it uses too much memory.
with other phones I don't know how to do it, I added it to the wish list.

To use the whole screen with my S8000 I change manifest.mf with Tkfile_explorer, this is explained somewhere in the wiki.

Hello gisela, Appears you can run TB from a computer. Question about the large cms.jpg graphics. They appear to be taken from a computer screen with print screen option and you had it working with a GPS. What did you actually do and if you used an emulator what is the link to it?
thanks,
tom

Hello Tom,
I never found out how to use those emulators so I gave up.
To get these screenshots I used BsB tweaks, it makes a screenshot when you shake the phone. It wasn't easy, because if you shake the phone it also switches from portrait to landscape so a lot of screenshots were useless. I hope this helps?

inspired by tio matt I changed the colours of my theme, and made some symbols bigger so they are better readable. I also smoothened the altitude graph.

It might take too much of your phone's capacity. If so, change
Code:
  set gisela::dt 8

to
Code:
  set gisela::dt 15

in gisela.hcl, at the bottom of the file.
