| maybe on hi-res displays it is not so noticeable, but on 320x480 3.2" scaled bitmaps look nicer (antialised lines texts etc)

with map prescaling works perfekt on nokia 5230
filtered scaling checked can slow down loading and scrolling, i have it unchecked and mapscaling 200 (for the first)
on little thing: long press of fire key ansers not with vibration as it has in the first version.
Many thanks for this realy great work !! its a big effort for all users with smartphones.
Oh ... after close and restarting trekbuddy vibration works .

For the next preview, can we have a BB OS5 and higher release also? Thanks!

Thanks Kruch
I tested both, I also cannot tell which one is better. Performance is ok so far, but I cannot compare to other devices.
Perhaps the OS5 functions are less resource consuming!?
It would be nice to have some kind of indicator if 2x zoom is active.

|
|
On my self calibrated maps, using long-press to magnify (zoom in) 2X, results in the wrong position being shown. Even when the GPS is not active, the co-ordinates stays the same, but the map moves so that it shows a position to the west of the correct position.
I suspect it has to do with the calibration (.map) file, but I am not sure. Perhaps because the calibration points are not in the 4 corners? Or perhaps due to the projection type?
Any ideas that can shed some light on this, would be greatly appreciated!

| Cannot reproduce with my maps. Could you upload such map somewhere? And what phone you are using.

Samsung Spica with CM7 (Android 2.3.7)
Where can I upload a 8MB file?
Edit:
I mailed the file to you. Hope that's OK...
A little more playing shows that the jump seems proportional to how far from the top left corner of the map I am when zooming.

The shift is only horizontal (right?) and that I think is a bug in TB - current x2 zoom uses very simple map "recalibration" which I'm afraid does not work for your latitude (60°) where distortions are significant.
I'll have to change the alg to improve precision.
