Hi folks, this is my first post!

Some days ago, searching for a offroad GPS application I found the TrekBuddy. I'd like to express my congratulations !! Its a very good and functional software.

I'd like to suggest to implement the possibility to develope a CMS interface over the main screen application, like map. With this ability the interface could be customized like a skin. I don't know if my suggestion have some technical restriction. Let me know if is possible and how I could help.

Best regards.
Very Happy

i think it could be a Very Good idea. Smile User could activate this map CMS skin, in parameters or with Short key. It may show speed, altitude, average, any data at any place, size or color. One or More items:) i Like.. Smile

Idea it can be a specific kind of CMS in a different directory waiting for an activation or, a normal CMS, And when we activate Something, appears CMS over map...

Interesting idea, but i am not sure how to control de/activation or changing of such map-CMSs, most keys and combination are used...

How about ability to specify current map as a background for CMS? Cannot think about all consequences right now, but from user's point of view, it could be just one attribute in CMS .xml file...

... an option to check/uncheck, at parameters presentation desktop (or other menu) and activate the cms that way (wich may contain a speed graphic, or a transparent inclination graphic, or something else...) This CMSs could have another directory, for being saved...

But the opposite, activate map under the cms, it could be also a good idea...
But if so, the route, arrows, wpt, and courses... will function in cms screen?

if there´s more than one cms map,and probably will appear... (like normal CMS)
users can set at settings:

(desktop?) Map CMS:
- none
- speed (which can be a native map cms by kruch)
- personal (user defined, saved with a specific name, which Trekbuddy will search)

The user choose one of a list, or he can check/uncheck a box to see what to see

it´s a way of implement

key 2 (long touch at middle bottom), can be used to control other functions, like a CMS Map or even other...

I suggest, change the color of the icon, or display a message on the screen when the main function is changed, even for a short time eg 3 seconds (control cursor, control WPTS, control map cms, other ...)

Idea even as it is now, to control two functions (cursor color, and name / comments of WPTS) could show a message, temporary or permanent ...
