It seems to have changed on my K800i, too. I'd say it's a tad faster so it may also seem to be a bit "jerky". I don't feel uncomfortable with that, though. |

EN: Please, will still support for switching map layers, so that we do not have to go back to the list, but switch buttons + / - or 4-indicative button? It is to deal with it somewhere, but I can not find ... |
Ale možnost via seznam by mohla zůstat. Někdy se potřebuju přepnout přez několik vrstev a krokováním po jednotlivých vrstvách by nebylo pohodlné.
Jo, a problém s načítáním některých map hlásím taky
Když dám "Pauzu" není možné ručně posouvat mapou, nahlížet do CMS atd.

Not fully working as it should I think:
If I add the first custom WPT I'm asked for a file name. Let's say I choose "Caches.gpx".
Later if I try to add further WPTs, I'm asked if I want to add it to "<custom>". Also in the list of Waypoints it's named "<custom>".
Only after a restart the real filename "Caches.gpx" is used.
Also if I decide not to store the WPT in the opened WPT file, I only can choose to create an new file, not an other existing GPX.

This wasn't one of the best releases, indeed...
I've uploaded updated standard and android version to http://www.trekbuddy.net/beta/2009-08-23/index.php where map loading problems should be fixed, and also map renderering should be smoother.

And waypoints....
I can see it is rather confusing and I have to change it. <custom> <recorded> and <received> represents wpts that were created during current session. They are backed up by file (eg. in shen's case by Caches.gpx). I thought such aliases (which are always at the top of files list) will easier for users, but apparently I was wrong.
So how the process of selecting where to put the new waypoint should look like?
| Code: |
IF any file is opened THEN offer store the wpt there
IF no file is opened OR user says no THEN ask if he wants to save the wpt to existing file
IF users says yes THEN save it there
ELSE let him choose filename and create new file |
Opinions? |

That sounds goods to me.
Another possibility is to offer a dropdownlist each time with the actual file preselected an the other list entries are the other files and "<new file>".
Example assuming caches.gpx is open and home.gpx is already there:
<new file>
caches.gpx
home.gpx
That will do the same but the ways are shorter no matter what you decide to to.

both ways are ok, anyway the last one stefan described seems to be the most comfortable solution which will fit for all cases. _________________ blackberry bold 9000 / tb 0.9.87 / TAC |

Uploadol som ti jednu mapu mojho Atlasu (Cele Slovensko z GoogleMap - v 28 MB zipe):
| Code: |
http://rapidshare.com/files/270637368/1_Slovensko.zip.html
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=99QZYA6R |

For me neither (SE C510, Atlas made by TAC). But I'm happy to report that the missing "Exit"-Menu item is back . |

N95 8Gb: after a quick test, tarred map loading works well. New hecl variables: wpt-alt and wpt-dist work, while wpt-alt-diff gives a Java Null Pointer exception. However, wpt-alt-diff can be easily computed in hecl, so I would not struggle to fix it (but remove it). Thanks |

This one has map loading finally fixed... and has hecl/wpt-alt-diff NPE fixed. However still unsure how to get best map scrolling performance, this one uses modified stategy...
