THIS VERSION IS BUGGY - DO NO USE IT
Changelog
- map size limit increased to 1048575x1048575; also map (not tile!) loading is now less memory intensive operation; also tiles meta info is consuimg less memory
- android: should handle fore-/background change, standby/wakeup fine; CMS should work
- fixed: backlight on S60 and UIQ
- fixed: wpts ordered by distance is automatically reordered according to position
- fixed: PNGs color change bug in CMS
- fixed: GPX timestamp are UTC, with fractional part; 3rd party elements (eg. groundspeak) are now serialized according to 1.1 scheme as children of <extensions> element
- new: altitude correction (Settings->Location)
- new: wpt-alt-diff, wpt-alt and wpt-dist available in HECL scripts
- change: imperial units in CMS imply 12-hour format
- change: if you add/record new wpt, and you have any wpt file opened, you are offered to add the wpt to that file; otherwise it will be saved to a new file, but for the first time you will be prompted to confirm/change name of the new file (ok I admit, the UI component is rather ugly, it was unpleasant surprise to me too)
* Testing on Android revealed that my event dispatching engine is not very good and so it's been reimplemented. Mainly it affects how TB works in background and how user input is handled.
* Unfortunately it turned out that TrekBuddyService is still needed for absolute backlight control on new S60 3rd FP+ devices. Also, as far as tared map speed up is concerned, the service is not needed, but the performance depends on available memory... Thank you, Nokia [thumb down]
* New build called standard-lite is available for devices where JAR file size limit is 256 kB. It is standard build without HECL support and built-in map.

good release, nokia 5800 holding 1 now goes into waypoint list as it should im glad sort by distance is now back working
. adding waypoint (settings; waypoints show all, prefered gc names) when you first add a waypoint it does not show on the map if you go into waypoints you cannot view any waypoint detail this is corrected if you reload the gpx , if you add another waypoint you can not see it on map either reloading does not solve this , also could you explain how the adding to current gpx is supposed to work what is the point of the extra .gpx creating etc

perhaps the created waypoint should have a gcname when it is written or an option to make one so if perfered gc is selected it show it. the comment field needs to be kept as i use it in cms for gchints

@billy06:
There is an edit-option in this forum! You don't have to produce three separate posts...
@kruch:
TBService is still needed for s60 3rd. Is there a new build because it now only is needed for backlight?
How about s60 5th? Is TBService needed on Nokia 5800xm?

EN: Please, will still support for switching map layers, so that we do not have to go back to the list, but switch buttons + / - or 4-indicative button? It is to deal with it somewhere, but I can not find ...

Good idea (and tks once more for your amazing work, Kruch!) --- this
should also be good for phones with little memory (tarred map loading was slow with recent versions on SXG75), and less performant processors (HECL seems to be quite challenging).
Btw, the standard lite jar link currently points to standard jar --- should be changed to ..-lite.jar I guess ...

| OSD speed and direction are blinking on my N97. Could be the phone as well, but with 0.9.87 I had a stable reading on speed & direction while walking.

version 0.9.88 (standard on se w580i) crashes on cursor movement, giving an error message as on attached 1st picture, or displaying map as on picture 2.
on version 0.9.87 it runs without any trouble (see picture 3).
edit: dimension of the lost image from 1st picture is 256x33, not 256x3873!

Changelog
- map size limit increased to 1048575x1048575 |
I am afraid this does not really work for me -- or I am doing something wrong. I am still getting:
| Code: |
| InvalidMapException [file: [...]]: Map too large |
when trying to open the atlas. And my map is sure smaller than the new limit, here's what I think is the relevant snippet from the offending .map file:
| Code: |
| IWH, Map Image Width/Height,69250,56250 |
Thoughts?

Hi kruch,
sorry for that... But 9_88 does not solve problems with long durating / never ending hourglass.
And the InvalidMapExceptions other users tell about do appear on BlackBerry as well in this version.

And, I am getting the already mentioned:
| Code: |
| [7] null: InvalidMapException [null]: No image for tile 4200-8800 300x400 |
This happens for just about every atlas I try to open.

| Code: |
| [7] null: InvalidMapException [null]: No image for tile 3000-12400 300x400 |
Scrolling maps is greatly faster how in previous versions (rolovanie map je ovela rychlejsie ako v predoslych verziach) - SE K550i

| I think map scrolling in 88 is less smooth than in 87. (SE k550i)
