I would like to have a "man over board" (MOB) function. It should be an entry in the waypoint menu and save the current position as a new waypoint and set it immediately to the actual destination waypoint. It is already possible, but a lot of key inputs are presently necessary and you have not much time if you have lost something on a ship. Garmin's have this function often as an extra key.

... yes! think this is a very good idea, i think everything is in the app and it is just a little bit of code ... and lost "something" could be lost "somebody" as well ... and then you need every second you have Exclamation ...

Custom waypoint icons are now possible, but it's the same icon for all waypoints. A real improvement would be if the waypoint could be marked by a label, say one or two characters. Wink

Quick guess: you have Settings->Tweaks->optimistic I/O checked...?

Something like this? (just imagine there's a map on background and the yellow "bubble" is semitransparent) Or simpler like the second one?

I think I may have seen good-looking labeled wpt mark in Superman Returns... ? I'll check it tonight Wink

I using a Nokia 5300 - S40 3rd Edition with a InTell GPS-009 Bluetooth GPS Receiver (SiRF Star III chip).

Seems there's still a problem when TB connects to the GPS receiver before the receiver has enough GPS reception. The Speed in the CMS gives values which fluctuates alot and updates very slowly. The signal light alternates between green and orange even when the gps receiver shows reception.

Seems okay when the receiver gain GPS reception first then I start TB connection.

This sometimes happens with LD-3W which I use as well.

Signal light changing may occur - there is nothing wrong about that. The initial speed and position fluctuation is worse, but occured for me even when hdop was 2-3 and 4-5 satellites in view... I'm not sure how to filter such "fixes" out...

I would prefer the simpler one. It is more compact. Smile But of course both are great!

Hmm, you could try to add fs_skip_bug and/or fs_no_available_lie properties to JAD (and redeploy TB then):

Code:

App-Flags: fs_skip_bug,fs_no_available_lie

I do not know if both will help or one of them would be enough...

Hey, nice program Kruch!

I just found a bug/error

Phone: Sony Ericsson k800i
Situation:
I made a map with some different tools, and then i load it in TrekBuddy. So far so good. The map is loaded and I can move with the joystick the map. Before the map is loaded I got a message: Navigation is stopped en then a java error but I can't read it because at that time the map is loaded. Then i move to the right of the map. It freezes and can't move the map anymore. Any solutions?

I also get sometimes a error message; something like _READER_java.IlligalArgument etc.

The "navigation stopped" is annoying bu should be harmless; it may have some consequences, though.

This annoynance is fixed in 0.9.57...

Failure in GPX tracklog (no raw mode).

In first log, it takes samples each 6 to 10 seconds.
Code:

... dear kruch, before you start "route navigation" could you offer a clean and stable version 0.957 or (0.96) ?
