| No PM yet - email directly to john -at- the-thorns.org.uk (replacing -at- with @, of course). I'm keen to solve this.

| I've sent you a couple of different versions to try. Running on my machine under Windows XP SP3 I don't see negative images.

sorry for the delay to reply , ok the tiles were negative in 1.0.5.a i was using the image exported by memorymap , i have noticed though that the image i resized works fine so i expect this may be an issue with the way MM save the exported image(although the image looks fine in photoshop) , i will email you an idea about this, also i have tryed to load a map and tiff file i get a error file load error 1 , i expect this is due to the file size as some others work , is there a maximum file size? the one that worked was 10816 x 8832 the one that didnt was 29632 x 24448 but a new problem is that the .tiff after resizing look grey, i have not tryed 1.0.5.b or c yet i will do this tomorrow and report bk

The only limit on size is memory. Freeimage loads the whole image and, if the image is being manipulated, needs a second copy too. So 30k by 20k by 3 bytes per pixel will be 1.8GB!.
If you can give me a download link for OZIMapTrans I'll try it myself.

Not sure why that problem occurred - seems to be a problem with the way Freeimage handles certain palettes. There is a new version (1.0.6) that fixes the problem by rebuilding the palette but this can take a minute or so.

Hello M8!
Very nice tool of yours, I like it a lot but now for some helping feedback.
Sometimes I find it hard to truly pinpoint the exact location during calibration. I would like to “drag and drop” the crosshair to fine adjust its location or/and have the possibility to change the crosshair icon to something else more thin.
I also check the calibration coordinates after calibration of the map and always finds the used calibration coordinates to be mostly south, bellow the crosshairs on map. I don’t get it, shouldn’t the crosshairs retain the calibration coordinates after calibration? I don’t have this problem using oziexplorer, but I truly like your program and want it to be even better.

| Thanks for the feedback. I thought a right click on the calibration point could bring up a window where it could be 'nudged' left/right/up/down? And I'll check the calibration calculation. Give me a few days.....

| New version 107 now loaded. Redesigned Crosshairs and the ability to 'nudge' points for accurate positioning when calibrating a map. I've not changed anything on the calibration - the 'view calibrated map' function is only approximate but the points should be accurate in OZi etc. If anyone can point me to a polynomial calibration algorithm I'll do my best...
