I've got the new LG GT500. Now I've got the software on my micro sd card. Then when I click on the Trekbuddy.jad the phone asked if I want to download the software. I click on yes then the phone says invalid descriptor.

What can I do to get it right?

Greets. Question

Tried 87 today while caching. After about 1 hour TB froze. No more map movement, no reaction on keys. My device (BB Bold) was not frozen, so I could make a soft reset to reboot which was the only way out.

This was the first time ever that TB was hanging and I use it very often for hours of operation.

Anybody else seeing something like this?

Stefan

Gave it another try today, worked without problems for about 6 hours. So this might not be TB related Smile

Some say (some?) LG requires that JAD contains full URL to JAR file. There is a trekbuddy-url.jad file on the download page that you could try to use for installation (be aware that it will probably use airtime which may cost you money).
I have a nokia 6700 classic and i can not change between the different modes of the Compass Sreen. The compass niedle is always look and I can not change with 5.
I have tried with different versions... 0.9.83, 0.9.84, 0.9.85, 0.9.86 and 0.9.87.
What can I do?
Does the velocity function work on your TrekBuddy, I have 6700 Classic as well but for some reason the software cannot show the speed at all. It'll measure the distance, the time and produces nice tracks but for some reason the speed digits are just 0.0 all the time.
Or does this newest version of trekbuddy fix this problem, as at least with .86 it exists?

Hi!

Thanks for this new version!

I have one question about loading maps from tar archive.

How much this new version speeds up the map loading? The speed is really fast?

I have Nokia E71 with trekBuddy Service and I still wait on loading screen few minutes to load a map Sad

Even when I disallowat st TB to use TS Service start-up I wait quite a long time to load map...

Maybe I do something wrong, but what?

Thanks for your help!

Can you tell something more about this 'bad luck'? Why in previous version map loading was much better?

see first Post in this threat.

My Handy 6220c has FP2 by i also dont use tars
up to 10MB its fast but than it slows down a lot.
map shifting maybe 10 sec instead 0.5 sec

i use open maps with thousands of tiles.
That is always fast, independent of the mapsize.

symbian has a problem with so much images, the Gallerie becomes biiiig.

so i create a folder e:\tbmaps
copy my maps in,
start tb,
load the atlas as default,
quit tb
than i hide the folder e:\tbmaps (with windowsexporer or y-browser or activefile)

now the imagegallerie keeps clean and tb is fast.

Added note, even the version .87 has the same problem with speed indication on 6700 classic. Maybe there is something wrong in the NMEA-data and Trekbuddy doesn't find the speed data?

Yes, it was definitely faster than now. I'm waiting few minutes to load map at start-up now.

I will make few tests and after that I will write some informations about this.
