You need to press (or keep pressing?) '5' to have the screen updated after "start" the gps? And after that - screen gets updated ok?
Anyone else with SXG75 have the same problem?

Would it be possible to have more data in CMS? I wouldn't mind having the current speed in a smaller font and having for example BRG and DST instead, or may be a possibility of switching the CMS in more screens with different data.
Otherwise TB is the best for sure, great job Kurch!

Hi Guest,
Which screen size ? What type of use ?
BTW you are right, for hiking speed over 100km/h probably is not necessary Wink

Hi Ranger, I use SE k750i so I would need 176/220 I use my Trekbuddy mostly on a bike, thow I do a lot of sailng and I can't wait to try it on sea, there BRG nad DST or ETA would be really useful too. Thanks really much!

BRG and DST are on HPS, so I decided to have other values on CMS.
As I understand not good visible for you.
Unfortunately ETA isn't available as parameter for CMS now Crying or Very sad
And switching few CMS-es ...

But everyone can customize CMS for own preferences !!! Very Happy
It isn't too difficult to connect phone to PC, experiment a little with content of cms definition file. No risk. All ingredients we have in this kitchen are available for you ...

If you still don't like to use notepad for editing - OK - could you enumerate what you would to have on CMS (and how big fonts - large, medium, small) ? Smile

Multiple CMS, with switching using UP-DOWN key, will appear soon. It will be necessary, as I plan to introduce "graphical" vars to CMS like altitude profile in the future, which will users very likely want it scaled to occupy the whole screen Wink

Plus ETA, soon. What's BRG?

I believe this is fixed in 0.9.55 final. Or not? As for the screen update, can you describe it exactly, please? Thanks!

BRG is "Bearing" = wpt-azi. See my CMS for SXG75 in "Themes", I have now added screen shots. ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival and switching CMS'es of course would be nice.

It's still in final version. It can be a feature if can be controlled, one push scrolling help if i'm looking for place far away and don't have to push arrow all time.

Thanks wowi.

I try not to use too much sophisticated nav terms here as I like TB simplicity. Sorry. But if some discussion about navigation modes starts now ... just pict from John Bell "Basic GPS Navigation" book as there are many names for the same thinks.

@Kruch,
Because we have typical "off road" mode in TB, ETA can be counted from distance change to wpt and speed of this change (no from movement speed). Works well in Garmins. For simple routing I hope we will have, it is better to choose constant speed or get time from directions (if present).

The velocity component in direction to the destination = VMG (Velocity Make Good) could be a useful value for CMS. It is calculated by
VMG = v * cos(course - BRG). The ETA can then be estimated by
ETA = time + DST / VMG.
(But first let's get distances in M... one step after the other)

Right, as I see distance to wpt is still in meters.

But this is more general problem to solve - switch to change units for many used variables, display formating. Next is the way to choose correct screens for navigation modes, etc.
Finally, wpts improvements are long awaited main goal now ...

Can you try to turn off Options->Tweaks->Optimistic I/O - it seems to help on S65.
How does map scrolling work on CX75? On S65 is very very slow Embarassed

Yes I try it,in some cases solve my problem,but sometimes show TB this error again (I can not change settings) and I found solution->restart phone. After this application work without problem.App show me this error from time to time,not always.
A skrolovani i pohyb po mape je na CX75 pomerne plynuly,asi dve sekundy to trva nez se "rozjede" ale pak je to bez problemu a pohyb je velice rychly. Az na tu obcasnou chyb.hlasku funguje vse bez problemu.
