an other question :

do you confirm me that using [] syntax is like in C and () ?

in the sample demo it is just to eval varaible in correct order to calculate ?

do we have access to all the function of hecl (the core is fully included ?)

like cos sin etc ... ? if so great !

@vincent
[clock time] shows time in ms and $cms::time in s. But the FORMAT of $cms::time is in ms too with the last 3 digits "000"...

Yes, [] is used to calculate in correct order and the full HECL core should work right now... Just try and see. This TB version is a technical preview so some "bugs" can occur... Wink

Is it or will it be possible to have access to the waypoints list in a ehcl script ?

is it or will it be possible to play a sound file ?

that's all for now Wink

I wasn't updating the list of variables in http://www.trekbuddy.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=296 for a long time, but asc-t & desc-t are available.

Hi kruch ! very nice evolution ! Thank you very much (& MaleSMurf too) Smile

As for asc-t & desc-t, last time I checked them, they were available but always set to 0 ...

Yet the HECL looks very promising and will allow to add this kind of features Smile

Cheers,
Nibbler.

cms::time is the time of the fix; whether it rounded to seconds depends on GPS
[clock time] is the device time

Right, [function arg1 arg2] in HECL is roughly equivalent to function(arg1, arg2) in C.

All functions listed in http://www.hecl.org/docs/commands.html are available, except for after, exit, puts and global (this is probably not a good idea)

Thanks kruch Cool

Also about the {time} variable ... in my previous phones with a bluetooth GPS the time was accurate to the local time.

Now in my windows mobile device with JBed and internal GPS I only get the GMT time. Do you have a way to get the Timezone / offset from the device and then display the local time instead of GMT ?

I know that with HECL it will be easy now to add or substract an offset but it would be nice to automatically get this offset from the device itself, so the local time will auto-adjust to the summer and winter time Cool Rolling Eyes

Cheers,
Nibbler.

to be more detailed :

cms::time is the time of the fix but it is a text format.

do the format string depend of the gps used ?

because actually the format of time is 14:20:59 because I use a 1 second gps
but Will I be sure that If i use a bluetooth gps module at 5hz or 10hz the format will always be :

14:20:59:888 ?

I forgot to mention a built-in help top developers: you can get status of last invocation of your handler via variable with the same name, eg. if you have a handler

Code:
proc xxx::onLocationUpdated {} { .
..

then variable $xxx::onLocationUpdated will either be "{SUCCESS}" or (hecl)exception that occured during handler processing.

Or from command line, download hecl distro, and run it like

Code:
java -jar jars\j2se\hecl.jar my_test.hcl

Nokia N79
Obviously snap shot bug (black screen image).
I tried to change resolution size according to phone model (encoding=jpeg&width=240&height=320). The capture format goes back to png and encoding stays as typed after saving configurations. Also tried other options.
Unable to change capture locator (videos) f.ex. to new folder (images). After that comes error message when tried to take snap shot.
Am I right?
