Hi, new around here anyways i installed trekbuddy by installing it through my blackberry using the media explorer method and installing the latest version of trekbuddy (.jad)

i successfully installed the program and when i run it, every time the program will prompt me telling me that "DATADIR not accessible please fix and restart"

i replugged the blackberry back onto my computer and created the proper folders on my media card(SD) named data dir and i even allowed permissions for the program however it cannot seem to detect this directory i created.

note tried to find a solution and many guides stated to go under BASIC---> DATA DIR. however my basic settings does not have a data dir option, so i was wondering how do i tell my blackberry where my data dir folder is?

note I also tried renaming this folder to many different names but all yield the same error (tried DATADIR, DataDir, data dir, trekbuddy)

any help would be awesome thanks!

Hi,

I have the same problem with a HTC Touch Dual (JBed, WM6)
The Program is running great but there is no chance to set the datadir in "Basic"
The three options "Default Datum" "Coordinates" and Unit System" are available but the rest is empty. Any ideas?

@Developer: Where are these settings stored, perhaps we could just add them manually...
What type of Control is the datadir-box perhaps not availlable (missing dlls?) on these devices...

sorry for the double post.

@zomgbies: this might help you too

EDIT: Got it to run, I dont know if I'm allowed to post a link to some versions of jbed, so if its not ok, just delete the link

Make sure your BB is not connected to your computer with the USB cable - that locks the SD card out of the phone.
