I made a theme for my phone with 176x220 screen, copying everything from themes others designed (Thanks a lot!!).
I included the satellite-strength feature of the 9.74 version.

I have no idea how to make a screenshot Confused so you have to see for yourself what it looks like.

Please feel free to use it (and change it of course)!

I've added some of the new features and some of the new available information in version 0.9.76.
I know it's a lot of information to put in one CMS screen (and therefore I used very small letters) but I couldn't make a choice between the variables to make more screens.

Updated the CMS for some of the new possibilities. I've added a screen with a bigger font so it's easier to read.
I've also added a navigation screen (even two so you can read really long wpt-cmt fields).

Enjoy!

I've added a satellite screen with a graphical representation of satellite strength. As there is no explanatory text or symbol on the screen, it might be useful to explain what I meant with it:
In the middle of the screen there is an eye with a number in it: the number of satellites in view.
In the top right corner there are some numbers and arrows. Above the horizontal arrows is hdop. Right of the vertical arrows is vdop. Between the vertical and horizontal arrows is pdop.

I've changed the navigation screen and added {wpt-vmg} beneath the speed because sometimes vmg is a better indication of the speed than the speed-information from the gps (especially with low velocity). I have no idea what symbol to use for vmg so I didn't use one.

This theme can now also be used for a 240 x 320 screen. There's a screen with all information I considered useful Wink , a navigation screen and a screen with all the satellites and their strength.
I used very little text, I hope the symbols are clear enough.
Unfortunately the number of a satellite not in view is 0, so if the GPS detects a few satellites you see 0's in the satellite screen.

I don't know how to make a good screenshot so you'll have to try yourself to see what it looks like.

Please feel free to use it, change it and I'm happy to hear whether you like it.

--- last update 08-04-2009 ---

My new hecl-cms!

With three screens:

One screen with information needed for navigation. The navigation info from ConvWPT is shown in the screen, only for the next waypoint.
I've added a diagonal area to the compass that indicates if your direction is about right.

Total ascend and total descend are calculated, with adjustment for the inaccuracy of the vertical GPS measurements. The height difference has to be at least 20 m to influence total ascend or total descend. You can change this variable (gisela::dh) in the hcl-file if you want to change this, the start value is declared at the end of the file.
Unfortunately, maybe it should be more than 20 m because the vertical inaccuracy of my GPS usely is 50 m.

One screen with graphics: altitude and speed versus time
If you press 2 the screens toggle with time versus distance on the horizontal axis.
There a horizontal line on the speed chart indicating average speed.
All the axis adjust to the measurements.

starting values are:
gisela::dt 15 (15 seconds between measurements)
gisela::ds 0.1 (100 m between measurements)
Because the total distance is not updated very regularly, 100 m between measurements seems to be the minimum to get a representative figure. With higher speeds this only gets worse so the interval between measurements increases with increasing speed.
If there too much time or distance between measurements, this is filled up with the average value during the time or distance spanned.

One screen with satellite information, indicating the number of the satellites and their strength. Because the prn-values are 0 when the satellite is out of view, there can be a lot of 0's on the screen if there are few satellites.

I hope this CMS works as well on your phone as it does on mine Very Happy .
Because the graphics use a lot of calculating it might slow your phone down.

I don't know how to make a screenshot so you'll have to see for yourself. To get some idea, I've added the empty panels.

Thanks kruch, for adding all those new possibilities!!!

Enjoy,

Gisela

A new version of the 240 * 320 hecl-SMS is uploaded with a more detailed chart.
(the post before this one)
The chart is not moving anymore with each new value, only if the end of the x-axis is reached.
Press 2 to change the x-axis from time to distance.

Gisela great job! Keep working on it... Smile
I just made a quick test with a car this morning. It looks very promising.
I will test it with some bike or hike trip.

I have a few problems with your theme on my K800 Sony Ericsson phone. It seems like the font you use for "big" are to big for fitting on the screen.
I've changed to "medium" for now but they are still to big so a few of the pixels for the font are not visible.

I'm sorry to hear that! What variables are too big? The time variables? Maybe it can be solved by enlarging the area or changing the orientation from left to right or the other way around.
