Any clue ?

hello,

I managed to change code of mapexplorer.html to get it working under firefox/linux, It seems that api have changed for the small map in the corner.

then, I've got my googleHack2 command line :
java -jar GoogleHack2.jar -mapName Paris -Zoom 4 -atlasName World -layerName GoogleMaps -Tar true -imSize 1762 -tileSize 256 -latStart 48.95091554921598 -latEnd 48.75890477584505 -lonStart 2.1540069580078125 -lonEnd 2.55157470703125

but while working, java under my debian distro complains :
Wrote map file to Paris4.map
cutting Images into 36 tiles.
cutting Image: 1 (1_1) 5 to go.

Hi Romain,

I'm having same "waypoint" problem as you did. Can you please post here your mapexplorer.html which is working?

Another question. What's the difference between using mapexplorer.html and the command line "java -jar GoogleHack2.jar ..."? Aren't they producing the same output?

Thanks.

Hi enkinz,

I'm not using this tool anymore, found a better one which is AtlasCreator. I disassembled it and made a linux version.
Go to the graphical atlas creator forum link, you will find this beta version for linux !

I'm new to TrekBuddy and I'm reading/searching for days: What is the best and easiest way to produce maps and so on.

I have read this whole topic and it looks like a nice and easy way to make maps for tb, but can't figure out:

1. What is the latest or best version?
2. How to start this(like more people have asked)?

Therefore is it possible to create a new app. with a start-screen, where people like me can fill in all necessary parameters?

In advance thanks for a hint in the right direction.

Hi,

I love to use the GoogleHack2 application because it's so easy to add
new maps to existing atlases. So I was very disappointed about the fact
that I couldn't insert waypoints anymore.

The solution:
Obviously the overview map can not handle a ZoomControl anymore so comment the following line (315) in map.html

// ov_map.addControl( new GSmallZoomControl() );

happy hacking Wink

Is it possible to extend the program for downloading google terrain maps? This would be very interesting for biking/hiking!
