basically, googlehack2 produces extremely accurate maps.
however, after a few minutes or even immediately, it produces a RENDER FAILURE. the program crashes completely and nothing works anymore.
it only happens with googlehack2 maps
i use the tar-maps, because otherwise, my phone keeps on asking for filesystem permission, which is extremly annoying (edit: phone is a SE W810i).
any ideas?

I have changed in settings of trebuddy tweak to "S60 renderer"
saved and restart the trekbuddy again.
Then the trekbuddy not crashed anymore but. I get the Render failure alarm sometimes but its possible to reset it and go on with the program. |

@Dexter: interesting, "S60 renderer" option helped to get rid of _RENDER_ failures on your SXG75?
@guest: what phone do you use? |

@kruch "S60 renderer" option prevents the program to crash(hung up, restart needed).
With that option I "only" get Render failure java.lang.NullpointerException and its possible to reset with "done" and go on.
This alarm comes more often when I move much around on the maps manually without GPS started.
When I navigate normal with trekbuddy it may come sometimes when changing between maps(not often, works quite well).
@guest Sorry forgotten to mention my phone it is a SXG75 |

So you were the "guest"? I wondered what phone does not like signed version... But, on Siemens phones, there's "Ask once" option available even for unsigned midlets, am I right?
I have fixed some NPE occurence in last dev version (made available yesterday night)...
I'm curious about "S60 renderer" option because I do not use alternative bitmap drawing everywhere, only for map tiles, but if it really helps, I should also use it for crosshair, provider status etc... |

sorry for the delay. the guest up there with RENDER FAILURE is me.
i use a Sony Ericsson W810i. no idea why it keeps on asking for file system acces permission... as far as i know, there's no option like "ask once" or "always allow"...
cheers |

| Did you install it with JAD? That you let you select "Always allowed" (or whatever it is called on SE phones) |

Yes I have "Ask once" option on my SXG75 & EF81.
The Trekbuddy vers 9.5 works more stabile with the "S60 renderer" option choosed.
I dont know why ,but you maybe know it as Trekbuddy Developer.
Seeing forward to the next fantastic Trekbuddy version.

wicked man! it wasn't installed as jad. now it works great!
S60 option seems to help.
it doesn't ask for filesystem permission anymore. really cool! |

HI all
i have the same problem with the maps made by Googlehack2 on my
sxg75 (FW 22).
if i use maps from GH2 (tile size 256*256 ) in TB comes many Render Errors . i use TB Mapper to change the tiles size to 300*400 then it works (some time a error but i can close it. the S60 option do not change anything.
I have testet also other tilesizes but nothing helps. also other releases have the same.
if exist any solution for this problem? its is only on SXG75 Phones or have other devices also Problems? |
