Hi kruch,
here is my provider status after the GPS-Tracking stopped:
stalls=0; restarts=1; syncs=1; mismatches=0; checksums=0; errors=0; pings=0

(no error values)

My GPS device seems to still have a connection (otherwise it would have auto powered off after 15 minutes).

Selecting "stop" from the main menu seems to have no effect (menu doesn't change). Selecting "Pause" gives me a "Paused" message on the bottom of the screen and the first main menu item changes to continue, but doing so doesn't have any effect (tracking still frozen, "colored ball" vanished).

@lambdacpap And when you star browsing the map when such freezing occurs, is the OSD (including colored ball) updated accordingly?

What's ahead for 0.9.82...
- research UI engine improvements (navigation line thickness, landscape mode, mapless screen, overlays, ...). I really mean research Wink
- minor CMS improvements
- some new device-specific hacks
- fast trail on/off switching
- bugfixes (better picture quality, wpt proximity versus speed problem, ...)

Nice release and very nice ideas.

... and what about these ideas in future?

Not quite sure if I understand you right, but: After the freezing I can browse the map via the cursor keys (or change display modes to compass, cms) but all displays are not updated any more. The colored ball remains invisible, no matter what I do.

Hi again kruch.

I have uninstalled the new version and I intalled again the 0.9.81 testing version (the one that "didn't have" the backlight problem with my N70), and now it has the same problem!!!
I am really confused why before it worked and not now!!

I didn't install anything else on my phone, so I don't know what's the problem.

So, fuck the N70!! i'm gonna start using a SE k800i instead of mine. So by my part, don't spend more time on it, you are doing a great job with the rest!

Adiós.

What's with the backlight control?
If you want is just the backlight to stay at 100% while you are using TB, then all you need to do is run a torch tool while you are also running TB.
Search my latest posts in the forum and you will find a link to a great small non-intrusive S60 2nd native symbian tool that does just that.
Here you go.
Also, I am beginning to think that it even helps my TB experience of crashes.
Cheers

i watch specific of n70..it's 2nd edition;maybe don't work

You're welcome.
One of these days I pay you a visit and you can buy me a caña lol.
But keep watching, kruch says that he might build up a trekbuddyservice for s60 2nd edition like n70 or 6630.
Let's see if he can pull that one and then we won't need any torch tool and we'll be able to set up the phone backlight like we want and hopefully the screensaver AND the (auto) keypad lock won't kick in to spoil the party.
Cheers

It sounds great (las cañas). Let's hope trekbuddyservice works in this kind of phones, if not, the torch it's fine.

Adiós.

Hi,

First. I really like to use trekbuddy for geocaching and its great that trekbuddy is now able to read the gpx from geocaching.com

Second. It would be great if the containter type could be displayed (micro/regular...).
Third. Maybe it would be possible to display the distance of gpx waypoints from the current location.

Thank u a lot

I've been told every geocacher understands abbreviations like TS1.5/1.5 (type: Traditional, container: Small, difficulty: 1.5, terrain: 1.5) .. or not Question
The abbreviation is called GC Class in TB...

i have an idea, if it is possible to add BT communication between more trekbuddies. Like in tourist group, that only one can have GPS module paired to his phone and other member of groups can also have trekbuddy installed and receive location from GPS bearer's phone...

for information, on my k750i, I've got a file ended normally with menu but in the nema file :

$GPGSV,3,1,12,21,71,140,28,16,54,309,20,24,43,055,21,31,40,220,34*7F
$GPGSV,3,2,12,29,34,068,19,06,28,270,24,30,19,129,22,18,13,140,17*77
$GPGSV,3,3,12,03,13,270,31,10,08,035,14,13,01,326,,47,,,*41
$GPRMC,171552.000,A,4325.4040,N,00510.7286,E,0.23,302.58,030908,,,A*6B
$GPGGA,171553.000,4325.4040,N,00510.7287,E,1,9,0.96,3.1,M,49.3,M,,*5C
$GPRMC,171553.000,A,4325.4040,N,00510.7287,E,0.23,302.58,

somes software like gps action replay do not like partial nmea lines in files.
