|
|
Hi,
I noticed a mismatch of a waypoint on my map and I do not know if it is my fault or not. See picture below, the waypoint should be at the crosshair about 400 m away, which position I entered manually for this picture! If I am online, the navigation is ok, but the map position is wrong. The datum is WGS84 and I used this in version 0.9.4 before without finding this mismatch with same settings.
Thanks for help, Bert[/img]

Damn, I thought these errors are solved for good...
Could you check that the waypoint coordinates you enter are parsed ok (select Show Current in Waypoints)?
Also, in Option->Info->Map, is datum really WGS84, and projection is what?

Hi kruch,
I am not sure if it is a software problem, because navigation is ok. The waypoint coordinates are correctly displayed in the map, but the projection seems to be wrong, i.e. my PNG files are now shifted a little bit.
Mapdatum: WGS84{84,-0.0,-0.0,-0.0}
Projection: Latitude/Longitude{}
Thanks a lot, Bert

I have no good news unfortunately... development is going slower than expected, you know it well - everyday problems/deadlines in dayjob/and so on. But it should get better in a couple of days
In addition to implementing new features and porting to new devices, I'm also polishing the code before I open (at least parts of) the sources.
I think I'll be releasing 0.9.5x versions (x = 1..9), to meet 0.9.6 goals step by step...

Hi Bert,
First of all, this is not TB error.
Your problem is probably wrong calibrated map.
Pls look at pictures below. First shows real WGS position of wpt having coords from your picture, it is 467 meters on South near river !
How you got wpt coordinates ?
Could you attach your wpt info from TB (as you see on pict2) ?
On pict3 you see distance from expected position to real.
If your map isn't too big and you have wpt file I can check it for you.

|
|
Hi everybody,
After a long time being confused about my waypoint positions and map calibration, I found the following: Map Calibrator and OziExplorer are doing different calibrations, or better: OziE is correct and MapC is wrong, see picture. I do not know why, I have done the same steps in both programs using WGS84 all the time, but MapC produced some mistakes.
So, first, thanks a lot to Kruch and Ranger for help,
and second, USE OZIEXPLORER!
Keep on going!
Bert

Version 0.9.5 for Siemens x65 series can not work,I don't find file access and is impossible to load map or atlas. Is it my mistake or bug in app? In version 0.9.4 is this thing OK and works good,why in newest version not? (sorry 4 my bad english)

@happyBOY78: just tried 0.9.5c for x65 in S65, and map loading works ok for me... I'll check the diff between 0.9.4-5 ...
@guest: I'll have a look how to simulate serial port GPS in WTK
